The origin of Weider's Red Lights were previously explored in Marvel's Darth Vedor comic book in 2017. However, it seems that this novel will dive deeper in that crucial moment in Wader's history. More importantly, he will find out what happened after the creation of his lights. As the Synopsis conspiracy further reveals:

"Vader is determined to follow this vision, even if it Means Defying His Master's Orders. Yet he finds the emperor suspicious assembling of his Mission, Even Sending Vader to the Diso System to Investigate Rumors of A. Force-Wielding Shaman Able to Raise the Dead.

Anakin Skywalker had to let the past die for truly become Darth Wyder

"Even as the king's true motivations are revealed, Wader falls deeper into obsession. His trip takes him away through the galaxy, chasing rumors and phantoms," Sinopsis concludes. "But no matter how far he travels, he cannot avoid shadows within his own soul. Beared by the echoes of his past, Wyder circles the true resolution to his quest: only after the whole weakness has been purified, can it become the master of evil."

There is a lot to unpack there. First, the comic book "Darth Wyder" was more focused on how Wader got his bright, with Sith having to fight EDI, who escaped from the 66 order to get. The cyber crystal that authorizes the lights, then manipulates "bleeding", causing to turn red. But Christopher's novel is more focused on Wyder's vision during the process and the path that eventually led him down.

That path seems to be back to what anakin Skywalker brought to the dark in the first place. He was obsessed with preventing the death of his beloved Padge, who died in any case in the "revenge of SIT", from Anakin's own hand no less. However, the dark side promises that there are paths not only to prevent death but also to return the deceased to life. This was previously explored in the canon "War of Starvers" through Datomir's witches, aka nights, which were a lot of "Ahsoka" After being introduced into the "clone wars".

It makes sense that Weider will continue with Avenue to return Padme, distorted though it can be. However, that line for "only once the whole weakness will be cleaned" it seems that the man who was formerly Anakin Skywalker must miss that relationship with Padme to become truly Darth Weder that we eventually meet in the original trilogy. As such, this novel is positioned as a fairly important canon addition, especially for hardcore fans.
