Australia are in top gear in Brisbane, reducing India to 51/4 after posting 445 runs in the first innings
Coming into the match between India and Australia, the team led by Pat Cummins is in the driving seat. So far the game, disrupted by rain, has been all about them as they have dominated both bat and ball and looked like favorites to win.
After being asked to bat first, they produced a stunning effort. They posted a massive total of 445 runs, with Travis Head (152) and Steve Smith (101) hitting centuries. Alex Carey's half-century eventually took them to a total of around 450 runs.
They were excellent with the ball. The hosts quickly removed four Indian wickets in Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. At stumps on Day 3, India were 51/4 with KL Rahul (30*) and Rohit Sharma at the crease. The visitors would be hoping that the duo will put together a big partnership and bail the team out of trouble.
