A missing dog in Tennessee will be reunited with its family Wednesday after being found injured in a canyon.
one Tennessee Department of Transportation The agency said on Facebook that crews were removing a tree from the 2400 block of State Road 48 in Dickson when they "heard a noise coming from a nearby creek."
When they went to check on the noise, crews discovered an injured dog trapped in the ravine, prompting them to seek help from nearby Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers who were on traffic duty.

TDOT staff, police officers, Dickson Electric Company personnel and a private citizen joined forces to Rescue puppies.
They constructed a makeshift gurney and safely lifted him out of the ravine and took him to the Humane Society of Dickson County (HSDC) for treatment of his injuries.

A TDOT worker also returned to the shelter hours later and donated a pallet of dog food, according to HSDC.
"We have been informed that the dog is receiving medical treatment and we hope it will make a speedy recovery," Toronto Transit said on Facebook. "We are grateful to those employees who were willing and able to respond to calls for assistance."
Tennessee Highway Patrol On Wednesday, he posted body camera video of the dog's rescue on Facebook, calling him a "trooper" and asking for help finding his family.
The shelter said late Wednesday that the dog, whose name is actually Apollo, was identified through the power of social media and his owner had contacted DCHS.
