Valve accepts It's now available to read for games you play through Steam. Valve has been offering an end-of-year launch since 2022, and it can be a pretty revealing look at how long most games have taken over the past two years (or how long a game can really stick with you).
You can access the data dump directly through the Steam app or the internet. For 2024, Valve tracked the number of games and demos you played, the number of achievements you unlocked, your longest gaming streak, and the games you spent the most time playing. The company also collected data on how much time you spend gaming on Steam Deck, what genres you prefer, and shared some details about how the median Steam user plays. For example, the median Steam user played a total of four games this year and earned 13 achievements.
According to my replay, most of my time on Steam this year has been spent on gaming 1000xRESIST, Arco, Animal Well and . Since I've treated Steam Deck primarily as a console since I bought it, here in 2024 I've spent 100 percent of my time on Steam. I imagine this is unusual for the average user, but it's really the only thing that surprises me. Found while combing Valve data.
