In the year Erik Lamela is the second Argentinian to receive the award, having won it with his memorable Rabona strike for Tottenham in the 2021 North London derby against Arsenal.
Garnacho's stunning goal came in the third minute of United's 3-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park and unsurprisingly secured Manchester United's best goal of the 2023-24 Premier League season.
The goal is now officially recognized as the best goal globally between August 2023 and August 2024.
This is what football legend Alessandro Del Piero said at the Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony held in Doha, Qatar.

Garnacho beat off strong competition from West Ham United's Mohamed Qudus, Aston Villa's Jaden Filogen (for his goal on loan at Hull City) and Inter Milan's Federico DiMarco.
A Manchester United statement read: "Congratulations to Alejandro Garnacho who has been named the winner of the 2024 FIFA Puskas Award.
"The Manchester United winger has been recognized for his stunning acrobatic bicycle kick against Everton in November 2023.
"Congratulations to our number 17, and thanks to everyone who supported him. It's a goal we've been waiting for years.
The voting process for the Puskas Award included fans and FIFA legends, which ensured Garnacho's goal received recognition from some of football's biggest names.
The win also ties Garnacho with Cristiano Ronaldo, the first winner of the Puskas Award in 2009.
Ronaldo made his mark in the 2008-09 season with a powerful long-range strike in the quarter-finals of the Champions League against FC Porto.
Garnacho has now become the second Manchester United player to win the award.
