Simon Helberg was in him for a long way to "Big Bang theory". He not only remained throughout the seasonal race in the show, but also appeared in all 279 episodes. When you have a stable gig, especially in industry where job safety is not guaranteed, it is sometimes best to hold on to what you have. However, although much more than a decade playing an air engineer has turned into astronaut Howard Volovitz (Helberg's role hesitated on audition), his career out of it has proven to be ready to break out of the mold of Sitkom and try new things.

In addition to the "Big Bang theory", Helberg worked with directors like Leos Karax ("Annette"), Christopher Guest ("for your consideration") and the Cohen Brothers ("serious man"). But as is the case with many actors, he felt the urge to become a director's blow at one point.

In 2014, Helberg Co-raised an independent romantic comedy "We will never have Paris" with his wife Jocelin Town. The film, which is partly based on the disorderly courtship in the real life of Helberg and Town, the Starswells Helberg as Quinn, a man who has a second thought to propose his girlfriend from Devon's high school (played by "Yellowolytiki" starring Melanie Lysini). After realizing the extent he was knitted, Quinn travels to Paris, where Devon not only resides in the place of her parent, but also potentially sees someone else.

Since Helberg still played Howard when he dipped his fingers in the director's pool, something is surprising that he never used the episode of the "Big Bang theory" itself. However, to be fair, he had a understandable reason not to do so.

During the 2015 interview with UproxxHelberg was asked if he would ever direct an episode of his hit CBS Sitkom. But while he expressed interest in the idea, he also pointed out that it would be too much for him to deal with:

"I was thinking about it before, but it's quite another game. Multi-camera Sitkom is its own medium, but I suppose the biggest similarity is that you are working with the actors and trying to tell a story. That's the common thread in all this, but I feel confident by just taking a role. Experience, and it is very difficult for me to wear many hats.

Sitkoms usually have a fast rate of twist, often episodes for recording just a few weeks before they appear. When the show has 22 episodes per season as "Big Bang theory", in particular, there is even more pressure on the actors to know their lines and hit their marks so they can move quickly to the next stage. I imagine that they enter a routine that is difficult to break. Hence, after the challenge of acting, writing and directing his film, the thought of adding another responsibility to his already stressful daily work was probably not appealing to Helberg.

Of course, there is a long -standing tradition of Sitkcom actors directing episodes of their own show, including David Schwimmer's likes ("Friends"), Neil Patrick Harris ("How I Meet Your Mother") and Steve Carl ("Office"). However, as it may, Helberg chose to stay in front of the camera until the end of the Big Bang theory days after that.
