If I had to compare the "friendship" with any sketch from Tim Robinson "I think you should leave", It would be the one from the premiere of season 2 With the haunted house. The joke tore guide tells guests who are allowed to say "whatever the hell", they want to use this as an opportunity for Robinson to ask for "IZZIZ" and "Horse Co". We later learned that the poor man only wanted to hang out, and he grabbed any strategy he could think of to make a human relationship.

These are tragic things, especially since it does not seem that he could keep a friend if he finds. If he managed to deceive someone to hang out with him, it would be just a matter of time before he did something Wrong, it is by badly reading the situation or by allowing one of his many uncertainties to get the best out of him. That's approximately what is happening in "Friendship". Poor Craig (Tim Robinson) almost hangs out with the charming congestion Austin (Paul Rudd), but the socially awkward Craig cannot help but does not make things difficult.

The result is a 100-minute spiral in madness, not unlike Alfred Hitchcock's psychological thriller in 1958 "Vertigo"It's funny, sad, surreal, kind of depressed, and also frightening. Paul Rudd has the hardest thing in this movie. He must play normal enough to have a cute, realistic response to Craig's angry behavior, but it should be strange enough to want to hang out with Craig in the first place. Rudd perfectly walks the gradual one. His character may be a healthy and normal person, but he has some surprising quires that make him more than a direct person to respond to the antiquity of the funny man. His easy quiet is what allows Craig to feel free enough to allow his own freaky flag, leading to the most famous agonizing sequence of the film around a third of the road.

And as much as things are warm, there is a subtle understanding between Craig and Austin that looks special and sweet. Of course, it does not justify anything that Craig does in the second half of the film, but it is easy to understand why Craig would lock this guy so difficult. Is Paul Rudd not charming? Does his friend group look unique warm and attractive? For the poor awkward man like Craig, who seems to have no friends at all, it is clear how a little bit of Rudd shows him that he will cause such a terrible chain of events. It is like as Invite Kerry White to prom on prom It turned out to be far meaningful than not doing anything.

Some say that the rule of good comedy is that the characters can never know they are in comedy. Surely, the story of Craig's search for male friendship is taken seriously by everyone. We can always feel his longing for a relationship, and the humor of the film is a natural sequel to it. This is why most of the film is not Paul Rudd, but Kate Mara as Craig Tami's reasonable wife. She is introduced as a survivor of cancer in remission with a careless husband, and Mara plays with all the same sincerity she brought in previous dramatic roles. Yes, we have no idea why she would ever marry this man in the first place, but the scenario and performance of Mara skillfully bypassed the question.

In the Q&A segment then for the second screening of the SXSW festival of the film, director Andrew Deung properly praised Mara for her influence on the film. "I wanted to move away from all the comedy," Deung said. "A team is such a comedian, but he is also like Daniel Day-Louis. His acting is so good. He's amazing, and that's why he so hard to hit people ... So I'm like, for Kate, let's get someone who (is) known for drama."

Here, Mara offers one of her most acceptable, complicated, lowered performances throughout her career. (The result is much better than The other big Mara's movie in SXSW This year.) It's easy to take for granted because of all the chaos caused by Robinson, but its presence is what helps the film nail the tone. "Friendship" is funny because it is so serious, and it is uncomfortable because of how much its support is.

"Friendship" is a beautiful, vulnerable, agonized movie and that is a new height in his career for Tim Robinson.
