Prithvi Shaw explodes, posts sensational message to attack MCA after VHT

Mumbai batter Prithvi Shaw has reacted to his absence from the squad for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. The batsman showed off his record in List A cricket, saying things couldn't get any worse for him as he has such a great record.

Young batsman Prithvi Shaw failed to make his way into the Mumbai squad for the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy. The batsman was dropped from the squad as the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Tuesday (December 17) announced a 17-strong squad for the tournament.

Prithvi Shaw recently played Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25 for Mumbai

Shaw recently played Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25 for Mumbai. However, he did not have the outing he would have liked in the tournament. The batsman failed to set the stage on fire and seems to have paid the price for not being named in the Vijay Hazare Trophy squad.

Overall, in the domestic circuit this year, Shaw has been a huge disappointment. He was dropped from the team midway through the Ranji Trophy after playing 4 matches in which he scored 59 runs. In the 2024-25 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he amassed 197 runs at an average of 21.88 with a best of 49 runs, which came against Vidarbha in the quarterfinals.

Shaw was expected to be included in the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy squad, especially with the record he has in 50-over cricket. But his name was no big surprise.

I will keep my faith in you, and I hope that people will continue to believe in me. for I will surely return - Prithvi Shaw

Not only was he pleased with his omission, Shaw took to his Instagram account to express his disappointment. He pointed out that he scored 3,399 runs from 65 innings at an average of 55.7. But he also kept his faith in God, saying that he would surely return. Taking to his Instagram account, he explained:

"Tell me, God, what else do I need to see?" If 65 innings, 3399 runs at an average of 55.7 with a strike rate of 126, I'm not good enough...but I'll keep faith in you, and I hope people keep believing in me because I'll surely be back..OM SAI RAM .."

The last few months have been tough for Prithvi Shaw

Shaw, when he crashed out of the Ranji Trophy, was asked to shed a few extra kilos and improve his fitness. Although the exact reason for his withdrawal is not known, there are chances that he was dropped due to fitness issues.

The past few months have not been easy for Prithvi Shaw. It also went unsold in the Indian Premier League auction. And now that he's been released, it remains to be seen what his future holds.
