Jennifer Lopez was stunned during a recent interview when the conversation took an unexpected turn.

At just 55 years old, the singer proved that she's still got it, but the interviewer's ill-advised joke about her age caused a moment of awkward tension.

Jennifer Lopez has yet to finalize her divorce from the actor Ben Affleck but the couple recently reunited to watch their children perform in a school play.

Lopez tactfully handled an odd comment he made about her age during the interview DiversitySenior Awards Editor, Clayton Davis.

The actress attended a screening of her latest film "Unstoppable", where she was interviewed by Davis, who joked about the fact that she was getting old.

"I can't believe it's been 30 years since Selena," he said in the video he shared TMJreferring to her role in the 1997 biopic "Selena," about legendary Mexican-American singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez.

"I can't believe that in 30 years we're going to do a retrospective of this and you'll be 60 by then, which is..." he continued.

Davis' comments left the "Let's Get Loud" singer seemingly stunned as she replied: "Wow." He went on to joke that she was "getting up" in age, leaving the audience gasping in disbelief.

Lopez gracefully handled the awkward scene as she nodded and quietly replied, "I did," as someone in the crowd asked, "Did he just say that?"

She then addressed the comment before Davis clarified that it was a "joke".

The "Manhattan Maid" actress was unfazed by the situation as she turned to the crowd and said she wanted to thank them for sticking with her for "a long time."

"What a journey it's been," she said, "and I honestly feel like the best is yet to come."

“I honestly feel like my creativity and who I am as an artist is like you said... I also feel like this, for me, was another level of going deeper into who I am as a person or as an artist. And roles like this change you," the actress continued.

"They come at times in your life when you need them and help you grow and kind of heal you," Lopez added.

The Diversity the interview comes after Lopez reunited with her estranged husband, Ben Affleck, and his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, last Friday to watch their children perform in a school play in LA

According to Daily MailLopez's son, Emme, and Affleck's child, Finn, performed together in the play. After they bowed, the actor was seen waiting to congratulate his child and stepson.

The "Argo" actor was also seen giving Emme a warm hug and a kiss on the head before bidding him farewell.

A source told the outlet that Lopez "looked on in adoration" as she waited for Emme to present her with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

The exes were also seen talking to each other while interacting with other attendees of the event.

Earlier this year, the couple were embroiled in rumors of a marital rift after going months without being photographed together in public.

Lopez finally filed for dissolution of their marriage in August, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split.

Although Affleck and Garner ended their marriage in 2018, the couple have seemingly managed to keep their relationship cordial and have been seen spending time together.

They and their three children recently volunteered to share meals with people facing homelessness in LA, but this family moment seemed to upset Lopez.

"Jen (Lopez) felt threatened by Jennifer (Garner) for most of her marriage — the way Ben would run to her for advice every time they had a fight drove her crazy," the source said. Heat World.
