Journeyman Dillian Whyte (31-3, 21 KOs) scored a seventh stoppage of in-form Ebenezer Tetteh (23-2, 20 KOs) on Sunday night at the Europa Point Sports Complex in Gibraltar. The referee stopped the fight after the seventh round because the 36-year-old Tetteh was so badly beaten.
Dillian has a big belly and looks like she's training in a hamstring position. He didn't look his best, struggling to stop a fighter who was beaten by Daniel Dubois in one round in 2019. Tonight's fight showed that Whyte is a shell of the fighter he used to be. There are no words to describe Whyte's bad mood. He was terrifying to look at.
After the fight, Whyte tried to explain why it took him seven rounds to stop Tetteh, saying he wanted to "put some rounds in." It didn't seem that way. Dillian was trying to beat Tetteh and he wasn't as explosive as he was five to ten years ago.
A very slow and wild Tetteh took the fight to Whyte first, going back to the ropes and landing some nice shots. For a moment there, the 261-lb Whyte looked like he was in trouble, but he dodged Tetteh's shots to escape without going down.
After the first round, Tetteh was tired and fought for the rest of the match. In the fourth, Whyte bloodied Tetteh's nose, which sent Ghana into a frenzy. He went on the attack with a good round. That was the last hurray for Tetteh, and he barely threw a hit after the fourth.

In the seventh, Whyte loosened up with a flurry of shots, trying to knock him down but to no avail. He fell to the canvas after being hit with a wild right hand.
Whyte used a number of rabbit punches, low punches, and forehands to harass Tetteh throughout the bout, but the referee decided not to punish him. It is sometimes very dangerous and stinks, because this is ineffective, and there is no need for such methods.
"I needed the rounds. I've been out for a long time. I was angry and wanted to kill. The person coming from the third country trying to change their life. He gave me I got the rounds I needed. I'm happy," said Dillian Whyte after his win over Ebenezer Tetteh.
"Everyone is fighting everyone. Turki is doing a good job of fighting each other. I want to fight in March. The lack of work has killed my career. I would like to stay in the Riyadh time card. People pay their hard-earned money to come out and see me.
It's hard to imagine Turki Alalshikh even Whyte on one of his Riyadh Season cards because he looks so old and slow at 36. It's not worth including him. There are plenty of young heavyweights who deserve to be on Riyadh Season cards more than Whyte. Turki would do us all a favor by NOT including Dillian in his Riyadh cards. Too bad Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have fights on his cards. Those guys have nothing left.
Whyte has encouraged Tyson Fury to challenge Oleksandr Usyk for their rematch this Saturday. That might explain why he was so upset with Tetteh tonight, but what in the world would he want to do? This is someone Dillian Whyte could have beaten without any problems if he had a little more talent, but he doesn't. He was shot.
