But he also addressed gun violence in the United States, which followed deadly shootings in California in 2018.

"It's just sad, it really is. It's sad. Gun violence... I just don't know at what point (we've said enough)," Rivers said via Yahoo Sports.
"Guns are terrorists, and unless we understand that, we will continue to suffer terrorist attacks. It's sad."

A shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison left at least two people dead and six others injured.
On Monday afternoon, Madison Police Chief Sean Banas said a teacher and a teenage student were killed, while noting that the shooter's family has been cooperating with police. Two students suffered serious, life-threatening injuries, while a teacher and three others suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Madison police have not released the gender or age of the shooter. They identified a deceased person at the scene who was believed to be the shooter in the handgun shooting.

"Every kid, every person in the building is a victim and always will be a victim. We need to figure out and try to piece together what exactly happened," Barnes said.
