In the episode "Simpsons" "The City of Newouper against Homer Simpson" (21.09.1997), Homer (Dan Castellaneta) drinks in his local diving bar with friends. Everyone has fun except Barney (also Castellaneta), an alcoholic who, for the night, was chosen as a designated driver of his group. Barney is already on the edge, screaming that he needs beer soon when the types of Dulcet of Ah to interrupt his thoughts. Outside, Beer Duff's party is withdrawing, and corporate mascots with Duff brand in my tavern. The party will start, clearly as a corporate trick. When he drove his drunk friends at home, Barney finally cling. He drives everyone, and then goes to joy in Homer's car. The next morning, Homer receives a call from the police department in Yorkyork, several states. It seems that his car is illegally parked, with a rack ... in the heart of downtown Manhattan. Homer has to fly to Newouper to get his car back. Homer reveals that his car was deposited between the buildings of the World Trade Center. Since much of the "New York City Against Homer Simpson" was set between the towers of the World Trade Center, the episode was delicious from the union after the September 11, 2001 events. This was confirmed by the "Simpsons" writer/producer Bill Okley on the DVD's comments track.

That means Dafman's debut was unavailable.

Daphman, it should be noted, became a regular character of the "Simpsons", which is used whenever writers needed an over-the-top mascot to ensure a scout punctuation, or when jokes for corporate shill-hah were required. To date, the character appeared in 24 episodes.

At the DVD Commentary for "The City of Newouper", Bill Oakley noted that the episode, although ridiculous, had to be extracted from rotation after the 11.09 attacks. The audience was simply not ready to see a comedy series in which the towers were still standing and making the objects of jokes.
