If you have seen "malicious" and are familiar with the "Wizard of Oz", you have probably already drawn some links between the two. You may know, for example, that several members of Dorothy's famous team have already appeared in "wicked", though under different names. And, of course, if you've seen Broadway's original musical, you know exactly how the two stories intersect, because the total "wizard of Oz" takes place in the background of the second act of the show.

Guys M. Payment "Worked: Good", which should arrive at the end of 2025, end the storyDiscovering all the major links of Oz with those who did not see the live play. It includes the image of Madame Morrible (Michelle Johch), director of the University of Siz. Madame Morrible does not appear in the "Wizard of Oz", which, of course, is most because the character has not yet been invented. Frank Baum's first novel was released in 1900, while the film adaptation came out in 1939. Meanwhile, Gregory Maguier's first novel "The Wicked" came out in 1995, and the musical adaptation premiered on Broadway in 2003.

That's the boring, logistical reason why Madame Moribl does not appear in the "Oz Wizard", but don't worry, there is a more fun retroactive explanation of the orbus. As the act two of the "wicked" scenic music music reveals, Morrible's influence is very much felt during Dorothy's time in Oz, but she works the most behind the scenes with the Wizard (Effef Goldblum) at the time. What is more interesting is that in the story of "Wicked", Moribe is the reason that Dorothy appears in Oz in the first place.

As seen in The first "wicked" movieMadame Moribl has a significant amount of magical power, though much less than Elfaba (Cynthia Erivo). Specifically, we see that it affects time.

You may already see where this is going.

In the "wicked" scene, and probably "wicked: for good", Moribe is also the one who calls the tornado accidentally carried by Dorothy in Oz. Its purpose is to lure Elfaba by hiding by putting her sister Nesaros (Marisa Bode). Spoilers for "evil: for good", But it is unauthorized to be the wicked witch of the East, who shrinks and kills from the house falling into Dorothy.

For the rest of the second act of the show, Morrible continues to deal with the wizard on how to descend Elfaba and return the "order" to Oz under their tyrannical rule. Since the wizard himself does not appear in the "Wizard of Oz" to the very end, and since Chiz himself is not part of that original story, it makes the perfect sense that Morrible does not appear. However, she is more than an actor behind the scenes, mixing chaos and pulling wires to influence the political climate. In the end, after the wizard leaves Oz and Glinda (Ariana Grande), she assumes a higher station, she arrested Morrible for her crimes. In the original novel "Evenly", Moribe has a different fate.

Gregory Maguier's "wicked" is very different from the adaptation of the Broadway stage and his film version, both are essentially the same. The novel is far darker in most respects, and its timeline is quite different. For example, Fijero (Athonatan Bailey) is married and has children with another woman before he and Elfaba begin with romantic entanglement. The wizard also commits much more serious crimes to the page, while Elfaba's training with Grimeri comes later in her life.

The story of Madame Morrible is also very much of Maguier's novel. After joining the resistance movement against the wizard's regime, Elfaba tries to kill the director of SIZ in the book, but fails. A few years later, she returns to get the job done, just to find out that Morrible has already died. Angered to be robbed by the chance to kill her personally, Elfaba attacks Moribe's dead body.

Completing the novel and the musical are equally non -eligible, although we will leave those changes to find out (if you choose). Of all her incarnations, the movie version of Morrible seems to be her most sympathetic and least wicked, so it will be interesting to see what Joch and other creatives of the movie are with her when it opens "wicked: for good" in the cinema of 21 November 2025.
