Trump announces appointment of ambassadors to Japan, Dominican Republic, Austria and other countries

President-elect Trump Nominations for U.S. ambassadors to five countries were announced Monday, including Austria and Japan.

In a series of Truth Society posts on Monday night, the incoming president detailed his choices for U.S. ambassadors to Japan, the Dominican Republic, Austria, Luxembourg and Uruguay. Each nominee needs to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

Trump has appointed former U.S. Ambassador to Portugal George Edward Glass as the incoming U.S. Ambassador to Japan.

"As a former president of an investment bank, George will bring his business acumen to the ambassadorial role," Trump said of Glass. "George is a graduate of the University of Oregon, where he served as president of the alumni association and a member of the board of directors. He will always put America first. Congratulations George!"

Leah Frances Campos, sister "Fox and Friends Weekend" Co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy and sister-in-law of incoming transportation secretary Sean Duffy, He was also elected as an ambassador. Trump nominated her to serve as U.S. ambassador to the Dominican Republic.

"Leah served our country as a CIA case officer before becoming senior counsel for the Western Hemisphere on the House Foreign Affairs Committee," the Republican wrote. "Leah will bring to the table her love of country, her commitment to our security, and our prosperity." Congratulations to Leah!”

Trump also announced Arthur Graham Fisher, president of Fisher Real Estate, as the U.S. ambassador to Austria.

Trump added that Stacey Feinberg and Lou Rinaldi will serve as U.S. ambassadors to Luxembourg and Uruguay, respectively.

Trump wrote of Feinberg: "As a producer of Broadway musicals, a motivational speaker and a board member of the Women Founders Network, Stacey is committed to supporting women as they launch their careers and transforming them into The business expands to unprecedented success "Stacey is going to be great and make America proud! As for Rinaldi, Trump called his nominee a "successful businessman, entrepreneur and long-time friend" who grew up in Uruguay.

Trump wrote in the statement: "Lou is an excellent golfer who will come to a country with some great courses. He grew up in Uruguay and has a deep understanding of the country's culture and history. " "His expertise and background make him eminently qualified to advance U.S. interests and strengthen the long-standing partnership between the United States and Uruguay."
