Why Edward Norton rejected the Jamesesheim Cameron science sequel

Edward Norton is reportedly a friend with director Jamesesheims Cameron, but they only worked once in a movie: "Alita: Battle Angel," Cameron wrote and produced and in which Norton made Kimo. Cameron also offered Norton a chance to be in "Avatar: Water Road" - So why did Norton get the chance to visit Pandora?

I still have hope for a sequel "Alita" -I and the whole so -called "Alita Army". The first movie was a pleasant surprise and there is a lot of More than the manga "battle angel" by Yukio Shishiro to adjust. The film teased that Alita (Roza Salazar) would finally find face to face with a new (Norton image), her crazy scientist for a crazy scientist.

In 2019, the director of Digital Spy: "(Cameron and I) we both knew that neither of us worked with Ed. But Ed is really smart. As Jimim, he's very, very smart." While Norton only appears as new in a few short shots, his casting emphasizes the importance of the character. Norton is not just an actor A-writing, he is also credible as the smartest person in the world. Rihan Nsonson played smart with the presence of Norton's screen, which Billionaire Faux-Genius Tech Miles Bron in "Glass Onion"

Alita was a passion project for Jamesesheims Cameron. First got acquainted with the Chnishiro manga in the 1990s by Guillermo del ToroCameron spent many years trying to adjust it to the movie. But he eventually had to choose between "The Water Road" and "Alita" and so he left the second in the hands of Rodriguez. He then tried to get Norton to join his other scientific blockbuster, but the actor drew a solid line in the sand. Norton explained in 2019 with Total Film:

"I am a friend with Jimim (Cameron) and actually admire and admire and kind of worship. So when I wanted to do something in" Avatar 2 ", I basically told him, 'If I'm not naive, I don't do it.

Can Edward Norton's dreams come true in the future sequel to the avatar?

I have a feeling that Norton not only "admires" Cameron for his films. Both are some of the loudest environmentalists in Hollywood. Cameron is particularly passionate about the preservation of the ocean (he moons as a dimming researcher) and described his veganism as a political act, reducing the relief of carbon broadcasting, the resource drying industry. Norton (whose father was an environmental lawyer) was also appointed by the United Nations as an ambassador of goodwill to biodiversity.

The Avatar films are strongly pro-Ocolines and oppose the military-industrial complex. In both films released so far, mankind is a villain; We have already destroyed the country and now we want to destroy another natural paradise with colonization and industrialization. Of course, Norton prefers Navi, given that his own political views are so close to Cameron on the matter.

Now, apparently Cameron could not fit Norton like the "Water Road". The third film "Avatar" - "Fire & Ash" - is also scheduled to premiere on December, so there is probably not enough time to add Norton there. But Cameron has already written at least two Avatar films, with ideas to Avatar 7. Surely he can make room for Navid Ed Norton in one of these films? However, I can only wonder how these two very similar men (and passionate artists and control fraud) would work together. Would Cameron accept more Norton's entrance from Marvel Studio was at "Incredible Hulk"? Like the fate of that sequel "Alita", it can go in any way.
