Dele Alli has been offered the chance to train with Cesc Fabregas Como's side in a bid to revive his career.
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder who boasts 37 England caps completed his contract at Everton in the summer. Dele was last seen in competitive action for Turkey's Beşiktaş and has not featured professionally since February 2023.
Amazing talent for club and country, Dele spoke openly about the various traumas he has suffered throughout his life. Persistent injuries have contributed to what the midfielder described as a "bad cycle", but at just 28, Dele has plenty of time to return to professional life.
Counterintuitive, an Arsenal legend could offer the former Spurs star a way to the top.
Dele attended Como's 2-0 win at home to Roma on Sunday and Fabregas revealed he would be welcome at the club's training ground. "He could train with us after Christmas to find his form," the former Arsenal i Chelsea the midfielder told reporters on Monday.
Fabregas returned to his boyhood club Barcelona by the time Dele broke into the Tottenham first team, but the pair clashed after the Spain international joined Chelsea in 2014. In four straight meetings, Dele managed to improve. five goals against teams including Fabregas.
Como could do with a bit more power and is already home to several seasoned pros. The former Liverpool duo Pepe Reina (42) and Alberto Moreno (32) operate at the foot of the Alps, while the former AC Milan and Wolves misfit Patrick Cutrone is the only member of the squad with more than two league goals this season.
