"Penguin" is one of the best things to get out of DC's characters for a while (what says something thinking Warner Bros. was recently underway). This is a show that, on the surface, feels very similar "Sopranos" but placed in GothamCompleted with a mafia with mom. However, it quickly became clear that the "penguin" was his own job, even being highlighted by Baman's previous show without Batman - aka the underestimated Gonzo Show "Gotham" - and a great research on the characters that avoids the typical TV Anti -Hero Problem To make the character too cute to the audience. No, Osvald "Oz" Cob (Colin Farrell) is pathetic and sociopathic, lying loser, fraud and murder with ease and without remorse.
But as much as Farrell is on the show, it is Christine Milliotti who stole the show as Sofia Falcone, the notorious daughter of Falcone Crime Family, who was closed in Arkam for a decade. No matter how much the Oz show is, it is also as much for Sofia and its tragic backstew. Milliotti manages to portray the character in a way that is found as unstoppable, but is never over-run. This is not Charlie Quinn, but a character who has clearly suffered a lot, and someone who performs true rocgors throughout the play, but always with the feeling that her anger and resentment come from a place of real tragedy.
Before delighting the audience as Sofia Falcone in Penguin, a million was a short part of the different comics universe. That's right, million was once in a Marvel project. No, not Marvel's film universe, exactly, but the second season of the criminal underestimated animated series "Hit Moon" by Julu. Here, the millionths played by Iris McChenry, a waitress and daughter of the former deceased killer Brice (Asoneyson Sudeikis) - whose spirit was tied to Monkey (Fred Tatascaore) in search of revenge.
The animated universe Marvel that was never really
Created by Will Specter and Oshosh Gordon, "Hit Mons" is an adult animated series for Japanese macaqua (or snow monkey) whose whole clan is massacred. Trained by the spirit of an American killer (Sudeikis, Brice Fowler), a monkey becomes a vigil that hunts criminals in Tokyo and ultimately Newoufor City in Season 2.
This is forcibly, funny, bizarre small show That's unlike everything Marvel did. Initially, the show was made as part of Julu's response to the Netlix Marvel universe that culminated with the rightly forgotten "defenders". The idea was for "hit" and "MOOK" to be part of a series of animated shows based on Marvel, which would also include "Howard Duck" and "Tigra and Dazler", "eventually culminating in a series of crossover", "perpetrators".
The coldest part of this concept was that each show had to have its own unique animation style, rather than forcing a uniform look. Creator "Hit-Thay" will appear once speaking /movie That the crossover may even have a completely different animation style or follow the style of one of the previous shows.
Unfortunately, although Marvel made a big show since all these announcements in 2019 when Disney+ was just expelled, the plans changed rapidly and the universe broke up after only two plays, with the "perpetrators" never materializing.
As for the millionths, she was quite good in her small role in "hit", playing a strange but funny newujorer with an attitude that has the most emotional bow of the season as she unites with her father and tries to restore her relationship. Although the show has never done that last season 2, at least we know that the "penguin" is scheduled to return for the sophorical season - even if, Unfortunately, Sofia will not come back.
