As early as 2020, Mark Hamil did not officially announce his retirement from acting on the screen, but admitted that he made a decision. Hamil, a talented and fertile loud actor, must feel that voice work is easier to land and chosen to perform only voice roles than then. Even when Hamil was a teenager in the early 1970s, he dreamed of leading the roles of man and provided more jobs on hit TV shows such as "Partnidge", "Night Gallery" and "General Hospital". His big break could not have been bigger because he was thrown as the main character, Luke Skywalker, in George Lucas's ultra-blockbuster "Starwalks War".

As the public was able to see, however, the "war on the Starvali" was both a blessing and a curse. It was profitable for the actor, but also limiting. He was typical. Hamil struggled to find other leading roles of man. "Corvet Summer" was not the same level of blockbuster as the "war on the Starvali". However, part of his early career has performed voice roles on shows such as "Annens" and "New Scrub-Doo" films, so he has accumulated the media experience. In 1992 Hamil redefined the character for generation. His voice acting career took off after that, and he collected literally hundreds of credits.

However, live-action, Hamil still struggled to find a job. He appeared only in 13 films from 2001 to 2020, several of them "War Starwoods" projects. In A recent interview with Hollywood ReporterHamil said that by 2020, he was more or less made with camera work, pleased to rely on his voice until the end of his career. However, for then, director Mike Flanagan ("Doctor Sleep") was approached by playing an amoral lawyer in a ministerial adaptation of Edgar Alan Po's "Fall of the House". The role was too juicy to pass. After all, Hamil will stay live.

Flanagan's "Fall of the House of Umer" is a very loose adaptation to the story of PO, and also includes other elements of the entire bibliography of PO. Hamil plays the Uker family lawyer, a funny character named Arthur Gordon Pim. The name and backstew of the character were extrapolated by the novel of 1838 (only one author) "Arthur Gordon Pim of Nantuquet's narrative". That book is a bizarre sea adventure that becomes fierce and more monstrous and progresses. In the version of Flanagan's things, PIM returned from his adventures, went to legal school and became a "fixer" for the corrupt, decaying family.

"The Fall of the Usher House", which aired on Netflix in 2023, was widely loved and received many positive reviews. Hamil seems to be wise to participate. The actor spoke of his decision to participate in Usher in the Hollywood Reporter interview, quoting his age (though he is only 73 years old) as an impetus for semi-pensions and Flanagan as a reason he returned. In Hamil's words:

"There was a point about five years ago when I thought it wasn't easy to get old, and it's still harder to do it on a camera. So I thought I had enough on the camera. I continue to work, but only in the voice. Then Mike Flanagan and his producer Trevor Macy was contacting me to make the house. I played a family of family of truly evil - a heartless, really wicked man.

After that, Hamil immediately provided several other satisfying high -profile roles immediately.

Hamil's two latest loans are very impressive and, by accident, both based in the works of Steven King. Hamil said his recent appearance in the sentimental drama "The Thick of Chuck" is one of his favorites, saying:
