Over the past 8 years, we have had thousands of conversations with clients, rebels and community members.
We were conducting surveys, we read the answers and listened carefully to what people are struggling with.
Three statements have appeared again and again.
- "Just tell me what to do."
- "I have to see signs of progress."
- "I can't motivate myself."
Each of them reveals the base trap that people fall into, and I want to help you avoid making the same mistakes!
"Just tell me what to do."
Trap: too restrictive plans that you leave burned
Need: clarity that suits your life
The people I talk about feel overwhelmed and overloaded.
They already have a lot on a plate with work, family and other duties.
No wonder there is a strong desire for someone to simply simplify things!
But it goes on when it leads to plans that do not match your life.
Exercises that are not the right level, restrictive meal plans and schedules that assume that you have all the time and energy in the world, you just leave burned and back in the first place.
We have learned to emphasize fit and flexibility First.
In this way you will get clarity for the next steps, while making sure that there is sufficient flexibility to make it good for you. ❤️
"I have to see signs of progress."
Trap: jumping from one program to the next
Need: Many feedback levels
The change is difficult.
And it's even harder if you seem to spin the wheels and you don't get anywhere! I bet that many of us have started a new training or a new nutritional program, just to enter the scale or look in the mirror and feel crazy and how nothing happens.
This can lead to the jumping of the program - jumping from one thing to another so quickly that it is difficult to assess their effectiveness.
Fitness is like investing: the greatest returns take time!
Here's how we do it: we follow both effort and results.
- Effort: completed trainings, practiced habits, consistency
- Results: Strength increases, body composition, easier to move through the day, sleep quality, energy levels, etc.
Wins in consistency early Form of progress. They are the first step in assessing whether the program is suited to you.
Wins in the results appear later, but you should still take into account when assessing any changes that should be made.
Some tools that we love to achieve each of them:
- A jar of amazing (effort): Every time you make a choice, add marble (or note) to the jar. See how the winnings are arranged.
- Enlarge sessions (results): Set the rhythm (we recommend every 2-6 weeks) to assess your progress. This prevents you from adjusting things too quickly, while providing bright check -in points to make changes.
Return loops in each of these areas facilitates confidence and patience. 🙌
"I can't motivate myself."
Trap: thinking about everyone or nothing
Need: Systems that support consistency
This is big. Life becomes disordered. People get sick, work is late, chaos happens.
It is easy to be dropped from the course and blaming themselves and our lack of motivation so that they cannot review things.
This leads to many or nothing.
Either we are all inside (and everything goes great!), Or we are rejected from the course and we fight to return to the right track.
Here's how to avoid this trap:
The more you practice the implementation of these systems, the easier it will be to keep the momentum. 💪
Fast checklist
When you look at your own plan, ask yourself:
1. Does it give me clarity that actually suits my life?
2. Do I have a feedback loop to track the effort AND results?
3. Do I have systems that will help me stick to it when life becomes disordered?
If so ... amazing! You are configured for success.
If not ... no worries. Start with what seems the weakest and collect them first.
