Channing Tatum regrets Ryan Gosling's movie with 87% of “Raceful Tomatoes”

If things were played differently, Channing Tatum may have descended a very different way in the early days of his career. Given his athletic power and the appeal of Himbo, it's no wonder that Hollywood initially tried to position him as a leading man, starting with His order as commander in 2009 "OEO: The rise of Cobra" (A jelly so hot, he must wear sunglasses in the rain). But Tatum has already demonstrated his ability to go deeper emotionally as an actor, after playing the eruption of Antonio as a younger man in Dito Montiel's dramatic film "Guide to Your Saints" three years before. It is precisely this role that, in particular, convinced Derek Fianfrans that Tatum would be perfect for the male lead in the drama of the writer's then -Developmental Link, "Blue Valentine".

Talking to Diversity For their true story inspired crime "Cover" at the 2025 International Film Festival in Toronto, Cianfrans and Tatum have revealed that they have almost worked together nearly two decades earlier in the Janfrans clot. After seeing the Magic Mike starfish in Montiel's drama, Cianfrans was convinced he had the potential to become a level on the level with Marlon Brando, which states: "He has this physicality - this body that can tell stories." Meanwhile, Tatum admitted that he had been blocking more or less for years by rejecting the "Blue in Valentuko" because he had experienced to regret his decision. "When I really look at that moment, I was scared of it, because I didn't really live it," he explained.

After all, Ryan Gosling signed on the Starweet against Michelle Williams in the film, which became a critical Oscar -nominated sensation after its possible release in 2010 (earning 87% of Rotten tomatoes). But although that was a very case of good that ends well, I wonder how the film would have fallen with Tatum instead.

Blue Valentine was good without Tatum, but his casting may still have been working

It is interesting that Tatum's comments remember What Williams had previously said about "Blue Valentine" And, as, in many ways, she rejoiced that the project rejoiced to spend years stuck in uncertainty, because Gave gave a chance to gain more relevant living of the experience under her belt. Meanwhile, Gosling is quite perfectly thrown into the film like Dean Pereira, a beautiful novel-romantic shoot with vigor and creativity, both of them in the running and deciding to start a family with a much more practical Cindy Cindy. This is the Janfrans wrist and everything can probably surprise that things are not happy.

However, you can see why Jianfrans would like Tatum to play Dean, as he could easily apply the younger image of the character with the whole charm and heart he needed. Dean then becomes a little insufficient (and expose it) a child-child in the segments of the film that blink forward to Dean and Cindy years later as a married couple on the rocks. However, to that point, he essentially resembles a more likely version of what the happy Greg Enenko of Tatum is, Greg Enenko of "21 Jump Street" True Soul in Jonah Hill, Morton Schmidt, naturally. Fortunately for Schmidt, that's exactly what happened.

As for the tatum? He was spared that he had to play more Milquetoast in the trash approved by the studio, based on the IP, shortly after "OEO" earned returns. C-TATES would even find his own (artistic) spirit in Steven Soderberg, starting with their Havir and Hivir joint stock thriller and Continuing to Magic Mike's films"Side Effects" and "Logan Lucky". And hey, it might have been more than 15 years, but Tatum and Jianfrans eventually found the way back to each other. After all, the real LOVEUBOV is worth the wait.

Roofman opens in theaters on October 10, 2025.
