WARNING: This article contains Large spoilers for "one battle after the other".
Do not call him a comeback -but only yet, but we can safely go out to the limb and suggest that the hectic praise has been imposed on Paul Thomas Anderson's "one battle after another" (including his own Chris Evangelist of the film in his review here) is the appropriate button for a year of uncertainty for Warner Bros. For the most part, the studio has put its faith (and resources) behind a number of too risky but creatively ambitious titles. Has a sense of poetic justice that all this can potentially Achieve your crescent with original Mila awards from one of our biggest live directors.
In the cast composed of some of the biggest and most recognizable names around Leonardo DiCaprio to John Penn to Regina Hall to Benissio Del Toro to Tejana Taylor-one talent coming and coming, it manages to stand above all others. Despite the limited body of work, a relative shortage of the right time on the screen and the additional challenge of almost exclusively sharing the DiCaprio or Pen screen, it is a credit to chase infinity that she steals each of her scenes like Villa Ferguson. Her spiritual, manic and cruel performance will undoubtedly begin her career at high heights. But we are here to say that she deserves the proper recognition of the industry for its turnaround on the Starwelles.
No, Oscar nominations and Even critical recognition for a record They are barely ultimate, all the standards to keep the actors or movies-but they certainly importantEspecially for one as "one battle after the other". Although it may be unlikely for such an expensive proposal to break even (let alone profit) during the theater, there are other ways to convince studies that these are films that are actually worth making.
Allow Chase Infiniti's Oscar nomination campaign to officially start here and now, people.
One battle after another requires no Oscars Love Coat ... but it certainly deserves it
Enter Chase Infiniti as Villa Ferguson, (the assumed) daughter of the former revolutionary, who now goes after Bob Ferguson's name. After almost the entire initial hour of the film, it focuses on the exploitation of his and the Perfidian Beverly Hills overcombish as members of the French 75 freedom fighters, the story finally skipped more than a decade and a half ago. Perfidia disappeared after being captured and a rat by the dreaded Colonel Steven J. Lokjav. Bob did his best to gather Villa alone and in the security of anonymity, far from influence driven by Lokjav and the US government. But a man's washed lining cannot convince his stubborn and strong will to call him "Dad", let alone respect the wishes of her paranoid father and remain the only teenager in the country that does not own a cellphone.
Since the first time the villa arrives in that dojo in those who blooming last moments on the highway, Infiniti carries the narrative of the shoulders as he pulls the most difficult act of balancing everyone in the cast. In other words, this is True The type of performance that was made by the Academy Awards to respect them in the first place. As a possible launch ramp for our next Starwar in "Making" (as everyone who watched her go to toe with Akeeke Gyllenhal in the Apple TV+series "Assumed Innocent" already knows), infinity almost justifies every cent of "one battle".
The performance of Chase Infiniti in one battle after another is deceptive
Most of the narrative centers of the wicked Lokjav film and his Bob Ferguson hunting campaign at all costs - not just eradicate his revolutionary roots and the ideals he once advocated, but primarily stabbed his ticket to the modern cushion.
In any other movie, this would lose Chase Chase Infiniti in the role of stain in trouble. Instead, we are given the front seat of one of the most impressive debut on the big screen on any actor in her generation. Although he later appeared in the story of anyone else (almost an hour in action) despite constantly opposed the heavy Starswoles Leonardo DiCaprio and John Penn (and briefly Benissio del Toro), Infiniti holds his own and then some. Her ability to practically make DiCaprio cut in the corner of a room during a father/daughter shouting at their home in the early walking is just a taste of the things that follow. When Villa is trapped by Lokjav, what follows is an extended and unbearable tension series of sequences where the young actor puts the fear of the Cinema gods in the heinous Penn villain. Long before Villa finally returned her agency, there is never any suspicion that Infinity is fully under the control of her.
Is that enough to attract the attention of the academy and to reward a growing talent that quickly builds a very summary? In the ideal world, it would be. In any case, voters have the perfect opportunity for them to give this saga the happiest of the ends.
