So, I cut my training further to an hour a day on average. And, I only do one of the tougher leg training and weekly upper body training. I also shortened the length of harder training for each class. I also wear a heart rate monitor during training and avoid over 100 beats per minute. I would discuss all of this when I followed up with a cardiologist, but now I am comfortable because I am conservative enough.
I'm still doing group rides, which is my longest ride this week, about 2 1/2 hours. But I used enough power assist as needed to keep my leisurely pace and then hang out on the back of the group. If my doctor frowned when I see him, I could always skip the group ride and ride a little to see them for lunch so I still get social benefits.
