This article contains spoilers For "Marvel Zombie" season 1.
"Marvel Zombie" is a fun and incredibly violent Roma through the MCC time frame, where the country is turned into a zombie wasteland, and unwanted, yet very powerful Wanda Maksimoff (Elizabeth Olsen) strives to rule as the queen of the dead. This, at least for me, is a scenario for non-complaints. It doesn't hurt that much blade in the look of Mahershala Ali (expressed here by Todd Williams) gets an abundance of screen time to fuel his skills and extreme coolness.
However, not all weak spirits are. Marvel's Chinese universe introduces young Avengers on comic To the left and right in the last few years, increasing its unspeakable dedication to set the team along with each new member. However, "Marvel Zombie" seems to take a completely different path, which does not provide any services anyway left of MCC's incredibly obvious plans at some point.
First of all, "Marvel Zombie" demonstrates Mrs. Marvel of Iman Velani on the small screen after co-glows in the Marveza. She, Kate Bishop (Haile Steinfeld) and Riri Williams (Dominique Thorn), are also struggling to find a considerable time on the screen, as the focus of the show often slips towards the most common successors of the heroes ... and Blade, who attracts a lot of attention, which is likely to promote him. Of course, the trio is there, and they do things. Kamala is even (very, very) technically main protagonist of the show. But the way they disappear in the background compared to other heroes-not to mention their relegation to an animated alternative protagonist duty in the first place-I can doubt that "Marvel Zombie" can be a flashing song for any hopes for young avengers.
There are some other signs that young avengers could be in trouble
In addition to Kamala, Kate and Riri, who are now rounding out in the animated angle of MCC's alt-university, there are other signs that young avengers may face turbulence. The largest in the universe is the most prominent hero of the "next generation" of the MCC-hero of Florence Pug, Jelena Belova, MCC's main black widow after Scarlett Johansson, Natasha Romanof. Technically, Jelena has no young Avengers in the comic books, but her initial "character replacement" vibration and interaction with Kate on Hakiki, of course, felt as if taking her in that direction. However, after Jelena was established, the way MCU has raised her from every possible relationship of young avengers and thunder.
The business side of things does not require better for young avengers. AS /FILM noted in 2023, Marvel's high content diluted the brandand in 2024, Disney Really Releases New Initiative "Quality Over Quantity"Promising to release fewer movies on MCU and TV shows. Combine this with the arrival of a fantastic four (and, in the end, X-Men), and there are fewer places on the table a few years ago. With Thunderbolts to take over the "new Avengers team" tick and young avengers who are still in the setting phase, the latter can become just another plot that MCUs are simply buried.
There is always a chance that "Marvel Zombie" is simply a way with low stakes to see if the audience is excited when they see several young prospects of vengeance-May not unlike 2024 Show "Marvel World" show Disney's treasure shipshows Cassandra Lang (Catherine Tonutn), America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) and Riri. If fans respond positively to these tests, there may be still hope for young avengers.
"Marvel Zombie" is streamed by Disney+.
