Waiting for Autumn – Bionicoldguy

Recently, we are still in a hot weather state, entering the 90s F (low 30s C). But at least it cools nicely at night because of the shorter days. I'm expecting it to officially collapse soon, hoping the weather will start to match it.

My ride was a pleasant one because the morning was cool. Last Tuesday, my group rode to the end of the Redwood Retreat west of Morgan Hill, about 2 1/2 hours of my upright. It was a great trip, but my neck was stiff at the end. I'm prone to neck problems and I'm trying to minimize regular bikes by staying more upright and standing on the pedals regularly. I did this and still had problems and my neck got me in trouble. So, I think I'll stick with longer rides, including my group rides. As long as the ride is an hour or less, I can do it in upright.

My experience was relatively short (90 minutes) on Wednesday but still challenging my sleeper, which felt great. I especially like Friday, a long brisk cruise, and then back to the Coyote Creek Trail.

The entrance to the Fernwood wine cellar, at the end of Redwood Retreat Road is a nice winery
