The "Long Walk" is set in a dystopian alternative America where 50 boys participate in a life or death competition. They must go to 3 km per hour after the long part of the road, never stop, never have fun. If you slow down or stop, they receive a warning. If they receive three warnings, they are shot to death. In the end, only one of them can win, and the winner is given mass treasure and the only desire for seemingly they want. We learn that not have To sign up to join the long walk, and there is even a specific return date if you sign up. But every boy in the country is inevitably registered at one point or another. Including Ray Garates, played by Cooper Hoffman.

We meet Ray at the beginning of the film where he was omitted at the starting point of the long walk. Lowering him is his mother, Inni, played by Yudi Greer. She is understandably nervous and anxious, but Ray is trying to convince her that she will be good. "It's just a few days," Tells said, deliberately ignoring the fact that he could be very well killed during those few days. Inni begs Ray to step down; Staying in the car and not going through this, but of course, Ray passes through it, and Inni drives away, crying.

Greer appears twice in the film: once during a retrospective, where we see Ray's defiant father, executed by Major (Mark Hamil), a sadist figure that seems to be a dictator who rules above the ground, and then again when long pedestrians pass through his hometown. It's this moment that is likely to break you.

At this point in the film, Ray went through an absolute hell, seeing as many friends he made during the walk are forcibly executed. He lost his shoes, he was exhausted and realizes he made a mistake. Then he notices his mother standing on the side of the road. He advises a small wave and continues to go - and then turns back and rushes to her. The rules state that anyone who gets out of the way right away shot. Innini knows this, so pandemonium quickly appears. Screaming and praying, Inni returns, begs Ray not to approach her, while Ray, who pulls his friend Pete (David Ononsonon), says he wants only a hug, and then tells his mother that she is sorry to enter a long walk. All the characters shout at once, and the nearby soldier raises his gun, ready to shoot Ray dead. Finally, Ray is pulled, leaving the Inni to cry on the side of the road. None of them knows that, but they will never be seen again.
