I mostly grabbed the shin splints in my previous post on Friday (although they still have some pain if I try to stretch them). So I have been able to ride harder since last Friday, with hard rides on Friday and Sunday including strength training for intervals and bikes, while Saturday and yesterday were hard workouts on the upper body. It's great to be able to go faster again. Sunday's journey includes Bernal-Gulnac-onece Ranch Parks in South San Jose. It was hot again this week, but the morning was still cool, so I started all the workout early.

The trail heading to the right becomes very steep and enters Santa Teresa Park. For me, this used to be a favorite hiking spot and I look forward to getting back to that.
