As I recently explained, rarities exist in storytelling of comics for numerous decades. It is a device that has allowed new creative teams to take pre -established characters in new directions without looking for a whole remake or restarting continuity. In other words, it is a narrative shortcut. Also, it is a signal for new readers to jump on the current title, a device that allows them to learn the most important things about what they need to know and speed up as quickly as possible.

After Marvel's cinematic universe successfully adapted the way the characters with comic books work - having the opportunity to weave in and out of solo and group stories - it was just a matter of time before other narrative comic book devices appeared. "... we had the end of the finish that I wanted. It was one of my favorite things in the whole season. But it just didn't fit into the CCU. And the peacemaker ... you know, there's nothing you need to change to slip a lot into () DCU ... but maybe we have to go back to a few things."

As Gun said, one of the reasons he really wanted to bring in the "peacemaker" of the DCI involves the importance of the series in the story "Greater Story", ARC, which also includes Superman, the upcoming movie Superger and TV Lantern TV series. According to his creative vision for DCCGun is also trying to be "very well known" to maintaining each individual project friendly to new viewers, even those who watch only one of those films or shows instead of them all. It is quite likely that Gun has rejected those mentioned options thanks to the reason why the "peacemaker" felt can be transferred to the PCC, which is that the first season existed during a particular time without directing in DCE. As Gun has explained:

"The peacemaker was always in a strange place. People say he was part of DCE, but he wasn't really. He was part of this universe of the DC universe when there was ... No one ensured that everything was connected. And at a time when they had to process everything with the" flash ". You know, we were able to do what we wanted."

As it alludes to Gun in that comment, it is quite possible that we may have looked at a very different If Flash worked as it was intended and won the audience. However, as it stands, the moment was withdrawn, and the DCC is close to a new beginning like these characters and this universe is likely to win for years. In addition to Retcons, Gun seems to pay attention to another lesson from the world of comics: regardless of the past, the story must move forward.
