Season 2 gave viewers an even wider showing of the McKulo dynasty, introducing a 1988 time frame, followed by an older Anneny McCula (Lois Smith), Eli's granddaughter. We also saw more than one young Eli in 1852, where he raided Komance in Mexico, and in the 1915 time, the McCulow family continues to face major threats to their expanded oil business. By the end of the second season, then, in essence we had "Yellowstone" and its different spin-offs contained in one show. Instead of following the powerful family trails in separate series, the "son" tried to do so within a show, and although it was an ambitious and impressive attempt, they eventually received brazen examinations and was canceled after two seasons on June 29, 2019.

In a retrospective, the "son" feels like the "YellowoLston" that debuted prematurely. At the very least, of course, it seems like a kind of show that appeared on the eve of Taylor Sheridan's Uber Neo Western.
