Along with some other dead characters "Gray Anatomy", including Derek Shepard and George O'Mali, Mark Whether Return during the now infamous story of the 17th Anatomy season to appear on what fans call a "coma beach". The above coma in a coma exists only because the show makes a (frankly confusing) decision to give Meredit a serious enough case of Kovid-19 stuck in a coma and, uh, sees dead people. "At the end of the day, just, all I want to do is spend time with my family and work a little if I can," Dane continued before sharing a promising message: "I think this is the end of my story. I just don't feel like, in my heart, I don't feel like this is the end of me."
