The bigger your scientific franchise, the harder it is to maintain the canon upright. It is a problem that extends from the "war of the Starvers" to "Star Trek". In the end, after you have enough spin-off, extensions and foretells under you, once decades have passed since the beginning, plot holes and continuity flaws are inevitable.

The franchise "alien" It seems to have reached that point. Now seven films, a big budget TV series, two spin-off "predator", and numerous video games and comics later, what was once a simple scientific horror story of the unrecognizable horrors of the deep space became a massive saga filled with Oreubov. The problem, however, is not that the new series of "alien" myths is not added to what came earlier - and it is by design.

Specifically, I'm talking about the time frame. You may have felt like something was excluded in the first few episodes, but I especially began to push me in episode 3, when Wajlan-Schiutani's security officer, More (Babu Ceysay), calls for the corporation's headquarters and meets the harsh reality to run out of the country for 65 years. However, given what we know about the series time frame, the order of events for its employment makes no sense. Yes, the string time frames is low-vision fruit, and yes, show Show Noah Holly admitted to ignoring certain parts of the canon, but in one show it is all about corporate tension, contradictions stand out.

"Alien: Earth" takes place in 2120. The original Alien, released in 1979, was set only two years later in 2122. Both stories begin on the Vayland-Schiutani ship, which should make sense given their proximity. However, the mission in Alien should take less than two years, while the one in Alien: The Earth is said to be a 65-year mission. The extra time is probably due to the fact that the magin goes far beyond Nostromo's deep space, but that also means the show's ship will leave the country by 2057.

Immediately, this causes problems. For one, the interior of the magn in "Alien: Earth" looks almost identical to that of Nostromo, from cryo puckers to the computer mu/th/ur. This is probably because the creators of the show wanted to evoke the icon aesthetics of Ridley Scott's film, but it doesn't really make sense for ships launched for more than 60 years, in essence, the same and the model would be essentially.

The larger question, however, includes Vayland-Schutani himself. Take a look, that hypertane name is the result of a large corporate merger between two different companies - Valeand and Jutans. We know this because in "Prometheus", which takes place in 2089 - 32 years After The magin would go on his mission in the deep space-Vejland Corp is still only Valeand Corp, which means that the merger would have happened more than half-way through the trip, but still when he returned to Earth tomorrow, he appears in the corporate headquarters with a Jutani code, which we still have a relationship with us.

Noah Holly said he was more focused on the story of the show and wide strikes than to put all the details of the films, but he did not stop saying the show was not "Canon". "It's not that I didn't make a timetable around the events," the SXSW show said this year (after Inverse). "But I didn't expand it to include everything that was once written." Specifically, he named "Prometheus" as part of the franchise that did not adhere strongly.

Is it possible for the Magin's Mission to begin as a Jutani operation and then become a mission to Vayland-Schiutani in the middle of the merging accommodation? Yes. Tomorrow's security permits could be updated while it was in space, and all the technology we connect to Nostromo could have been a tech technique from the beginning, hence all the similarities among the ships. There are ways to explain the strange in the timeline if you really want to stretch.

Again, I know this may sound nitpicky but Time time frame established in Prometheus Aren't some unusual details from the source of the 1990s or a vague comic book. This is not a situation of Ki-Aadi-Mundy, where the only thing that pulled it was something that no normal fan would have heard so far. It is the largest building of the sight of the basic film directed by the Franchise Creator.

Even if we give the show's benefit from the suspicion and say that it all makes sense, the logistics of a 65-year mission conducted during immensely tumultuous time for corporate authority feels ... strange. How can you even follow or stay on task with a mission that crosses more generations of corporate leadership? To be clear, I really enjoy my time with the show for the most part, and such things do not destroy it for anyone. But it is strange that the show is for the corporate bureaucracy and fully aimed at expanding the franchise orum, the basic series of events seems to be in the air.
