Wetty mentions that the pop star suggested on a vacation in Palm Springs a year after dating.

They provided more details about the proposal when they appeared in June 2025 "Get started again" Podcast, reveals that she created secret wedding bands to surprise her husband.

"I didn't want (the rings) to be very shocked," he remembered. "I created bands that are really personal (written) inside them, which we only know. I just did the whole work!"

The couple was in Los Angeles at that time, so they rented a "really beautiful, fancy" hotel room in Palm Springs that he filled with heart -shaped "balloons and cakes".

"I am doing what I originally wanted to do," he made a joke.

They even appointed a private driver to spread the pair in second place after his proposal, yet the couple never got so far.

"It was a waste of money, this bit," he admitted ridiculously.

They also said, "I hold a bloody cake and the balloons are around us …… he is in the house. He is like that, 'What is this love day?' … Anyway I got down on a knee ... I always get so excited! "

"Late You Love Me" singer explained that he never liked to be "annoying", so he was the only one to pop the question to the watty.

"There is no one other than Taika who loved it at all. He liked it every minute," he remembered. "Like, he's a Leo, so it's about him!"

They acknowledged that he was not sure whether Wetty would accept his marriage proposal even after he was in such a problem.

"He has his own story about his experience in that sense," he clearly said. "I was too (thinking), 'perhaps he doesn't want it! Maybe he's just okay to be in a relationship,' which was good with me. But I just wanted to lock him! And I said, 'Absolutely!'
