The "peacemaker" is a kind of miracle. The HBO Max series began as a sequel to the Jameseshei Gun comics in 2021 "The Suicide Squad", "Suicide Squad", ",", ",", starring a character that no one wanted to see more ofAnd yet it worked. Actually it didn't work just - that shaken. The first season of the "peacemaker" was followed by Johnon Seine as a version of the old DC Comics Charke Peacemaker, a deep patriotic superhero with silly silver helmet and pets eagle named Eagly for the side, and it showed him that he shows him as a sideline that shows him as the world. "Butterflies".
The audience introduced his alternate ego, Christopher Smith, deeply unreliable, but in the end, a good man with a traumatic past and a white overwhelming supervisory father (played by Robert Patrick), and we had to see him growing from a miserable beech at the end of "Suicide" and his own. He saved the world along with his new team, 11th children, and that could have been a satisfactory and orderly end. Nothing in the new GUNN DC universe was that neat and purely, however, just like real life, and the "peacekeeper" season 2 emits us after the high saving of the world has worn out, and the realities of their actions during the first season have emerged. All brutal combat scenes, needle killers and needles, and joking about the first season, still taking place in the 11th. Children, leading to the Sofora season that feel darker and more mature than the first.
Based on the first five episodes of the "Peacekeeper" Season 2 given to critics, the series goes to the places that would dare a few other stories of superhero, and it does with the whole style and humor we loved by creator Jameseims Gun.
Season 2 of peace
The first season of the "peacemaker" was An unconventional platonic LOVEUB story Between Chris and his new friend and co -worker, Leota Adebayo (Daniel Brooks), with most of the internal drama focused on Chris. But in season 2, the rest of the children deal with their own trauma in great ways. Stopping the Butterfly Project had consequences for everyone, starting with Leota was fired and out of outbursts with her girlfriend, to former special agent Emilia Harcurt (Ennennifer Holland) could not find a job pretty much anywhere, and they didn't handle it great. Adebay is trying to stay positive while working a minimal salary, Johnon Economos (Steve Age) works secretly for Argus who spies on the peacekeeper under his new boss Rick Fley, Mr. No one thanked them for saving the world, and worse, they laugh or treat as garbage at every turn.
So, when the peacemaker reveals a door to another dimension in the secret closet of his father who develops a chamber, the one where he could potentially start, it forces him to doubt how much he wants to fight for a world that seems to not want him there. Instead of trying to persuade Super-Jarwad Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion) To allow him to join the justice gang or feel totally rejected by Harcurt, he could live in an alternative universe that seems to the face to be much nicer, and begins to look pretty tempting.
The peacemaker's past returns to haunt
The whole reason why Economos is spying on the flag peacemaker, of course, is because the peacekeeper killed his son Rick Flay, Runior (Eloel Kinaman), at Corto Maltes during the events of Suicide Squad. Fresh from duty "creatures commandos" And surpassed Argus, Flag is ready to shoot ass and get names, and he wants the peacekeeper to be the first to cross his list. That means there are a bunch of argents of Argus, who make the life of the peacemaker, including Tim Meadows as a funny rough and dead Langston Flair, which gives everyone who works for him to deny the nicknames.
Aside from Harcurt's thirst for violence, most of the action in season 2 is at the center of Argus agents, providing a good counterbalance to the dramatic blows in the story. Meadows is great and he and Age Spit poison each other is an explosion, even if none of the agents is as fun as Mourn (Chuudi Ivoji) or Agent Song (Annie Yang) from Season 1. Soundtrack is still phenomenal and has a new Opening the Sequence for DancingSo all the pieces of "peacemaker" are in force - though this season seems to have even more in mind than the first.
Instead of a big bad invasion, the main antagonist of the peacekeeper this season is Flag, who sincerely has something justified reasons for what Chris wants to bring to justice. There is someone else's technology, a strange man of another dimension that hangs out in the closet and dimension portals, but the most important part of the 2nd "Peacekeeper" season is eventually human.
Season 2 of the peacemaker is a story of forgiveness
If the first season of the "peacemaker" was for Chris to shake the toxic fragments of his past, the second season is for him to seek true forgiveness. Of course, he killed his white surreal father and saved the world, but also did many horrible things before, including killing the Runior flag and accidentally killed his brother as a child. He must learn to forgive, but he feels as if no one sees him as nothing but his misdeed, which makes the whole thing difficult. It is wrapped in wines that are complemented by the way it is treated, which is a kind of thing that can easily turn back to the path of destruction. The "peacekeeper" asks us how man should forgive when no one else seems to be ready to forgive and what kind of isolation can lead us. Can the flag St. Ever forgive him? Can the world?
What makes the "peacemaker" so great that even in these moments, the kinship and the loveood on the 11th street children feel real. No matter how dark things are (and they become quite dark), the bonds between these seriously screwed sorted superheroes work deeply. Gun tells stories of the families found in the crash throughout their career, but children from the 11th street may be the crew that is most important. Havee must see how he glues the landing and where things go after the pretty big clifancher at the end of episode 5, but for now, the "peacekeeper" is back, a baby, and still starting a big butt.
