Although Martin Scorsese is perhaps the most important for his crime films, another topic he wants to explore is religion. Raized in a predominantly catholic environment, religion influenced his sent of craft, with "mean streets," "Raging Bull," "Goodfellas," Casino, "and" The Departed, "Among Others, Featuring Characters Grappling Worth Their religious convictions.

Martin Scorsese first read the "silence" of Hassaku and in 1989 while in Japan about his role as Vincent Van Gogh in Akira Kurosawa's film "Dreams". He eventually bought the book's film rights and began looking for actors for the project in the late 2000s. Gael Garcia Bernal and Benissio del Toro were in talks to play Sebastinho Rodriguez and Francisco Garupe, respectively, while Daniel Day-Luis was in talks to play Christovo Ferreira. This would have been the third Dnev-Louis collaboration with Scorsese, with the couple working together on the "age of innocence" and "New York" (the latter from which Day-Louis, Oscar, Oscar for his performance). However, the project shortly after he was stuck in the development of hell, with Scorsese working hard on his films "Island Blent", "Hugo" and "Wolf of Wall Street".

In the end, Bernal, Del Toro and Dan-Louis all ended up to leave "silence", and until the production was preparing to start, they were replaced by Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver and Liam Neeson, respectively. As intriguing as it would be to see the original three in their roles, their replacements brought the story into Scorsese's image to life in an incredibly cruel, powerful way. Nyson was quite strong, but Garfield and the driver, in particular, were highlighted thanks to their work. This also allowed the couple to move away from their efforts, respectively, on the films "Incredible Spiderman" and "Starwalks War", which made them be recognizable among the general movement film. Now, they were given the chance to show their skills under the guidance of one of our biggest movies.

Liam Neeson may have replaced Daniel Day-Louis in Martin Scorsese's "silence", but years before, Louis replaced him in one of the most fascinating casting that is in the century. When Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" was still in development, Nyson was thrown into the title role and was supposed to work to study the history of the 16th US president extensively. However, Neeson eventually dropped out of the projectFeeling that he became too old to play the role until the film was actually ready to produce. Then, Day-Louis was thrown as his replacement and engulfed his third best actor Oscar for the film.

Neyson, of course, had previously had the opportunity to work with Spielberg after playing Oscar Schindler in the winner of the best picture of the movie "List of Schindler" (for which he received the best actor Oscar Nod, lost to Tom Hanks for his performance in "Philadelphia"). Similarly, as mentioned earlier, Day-Louis has twice worked with Scorsese the moment he left "silence". Not only that, but he and Nyson actually shared the screen in the "New York gangs" to boot.
