The latest episode of "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds", called "Through Lens of Time", sees the discovery of an incredibly ancient temple located under a mountain. Although her age is the mind, technology embedded in the temple is still working. To gain access by entering the form of nostrils, the nurse Capella (Esses Bush) should insert the hand into a blood -extracting device. Ancient temples, inexpressible technologies and blood yields all give "the lens of time" to Lovecraftian feeling.

Inside, the crew finds a series of small glittering glass orbes that contain something they cannot identify. One of the orbes ends openly, sending glass of glass - and mysterious energy of some kind - flying in the Eye Apple of Ensign Gamble (Chris Meyers). The expectations of the Ensign Gamble are destroyed, but something even worse happens with him once he returns to the company: he begins to read people's thoughts and rely on their unfortunate memories. Ensign Gamble has some demonic force. It is possessed by the entity referred to as a life expectancy.

Weds are the first "villain" species that is unique to "weird new worlds" and they are quite frightening. They are like Pach-Praiti from "Old Trek: Depp Salvation Nine", But not almost so silly. "Through Lens of Time" is their introduction ... and, as he recently learned /film, it will not be their last appearance.

/Own Film Jacecob Hall recently sat down with the show of "Strange New Worlds", Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Meyers, to discuss the third season of the series and what we expect from something that comes in the near future. Goldsman has confirmed that Wed will really come back very soon.

Goldsman noted that "strange new worlds" cannot make too much dramatic stretching of the show, as they will eventually have to synchronize with the events of the original Star Trek. "Strange New Worlds" has been set up on the USS Enterprise a few years before the original Gene Roddberry series, and refers to the fate of famous hereditary characters like Spock (Ethan Peck), Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding), Scoti (Martin Quinn), and even young Jamesims. Kirk (Paul Wesley). None of those characters can be killed, nor can the company be destroyed. A Wed can be a threat, but not as existential threat that they would still be part of the conversation in about five years.

That said, Goldsman says that, yes, Wed will provide a unique, new crew threat and that their introduction was just that: an introduction. According to his words:

"There's a future for the vezda in, certainly, this season. (...) To create a big bad that was out there, that you suddenly stopped Hearing about a couple of years from now (in terms of story continuity). There's a sort on Cthulhu something that happens here.

Cthulhu, of course, is one of the destructive, inexpressible old gods of HP Lovecraft's destructive theogony.

However, Goldsman added, "they will not be here forever, but now they are." So, judging by his comment, it seems that Wed will really return to the back half of the third season of "Strange New Worlds" (at least), but that they will be contained, defeated or removed from the Star Trek Universe in some way. This means that trekkies rejoice in the clever, and hopefully unexpectedly, the solution.

/The film also asked about how Meyers and Goldsman's calculation allowed themselves to be a fiction. Did they be a new, repetitive villain, perhaps designed - from a creative point of view - to compare with the great monsters of Star Trek such as Borg, Salt Vampire or Types of 8472? Meyers responded that yes, he and Goldsman were aware of Trek's previous villains, but only tried to make them stand out. Should have a unique modus operands or, Meyers knew, viewers would only compare them with something before:

"We spend some time talking: What's a surprise? We spend some time talking about it: what does this villain show us about the world that is different from the other villains we have seen before? Because if every villain is out of the same thing, it becomes a kind of boring.

He also acknowledged that a great point of argument for a ves was how cool they could be. "What can we see how they do," he asked, "That would be very different?" He said the modern paths are sophisticated Lot, and he, along with other "strange new worlds" writers, should keep their fingers. He continued:

"I imagine when they came to Gorn, it was probably the most incredible, different work they could think about. So our thing is because we do" Star Trek "for the current era, I think we have an audience that is a little harder to impress. So how can we impress them?"
