Morning exercise to beat calories – bionicoldguy

We're going through some warm snapshots right now, not too extreme, but it hits a high in the 90s F (33 C or so). This happens in the afternoon and keeps cool in the morning. So I've been doing all the strength training and riding a horse earlier. I had a few nice rides including on the hill east of Gilroy and back to Coyote Lake Rd with my Tuesday group. I'm happy to be able to ride longer on my upright without SI joints or sciatica problems, including standing on the pedal for longer. I've also been taking my horizontal poses on some longer cruises.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I focused on “basic training” during my ride and increased the volume slightly. I made some 3 1/2 to 4 hour rides and decided I didn't like it for more than 3 hours (now I do it once a week), so I've cut it down a little bit. But I still have enough riding to "build a foundation". I'll keep it for a few more weeks and repeat MAF Test See if my aerobic function is improving.
