Alan Taylor's fantasy film for 2013 "Thor: Dark World" is often held as the worst film in Marvel's expansive film universe. It was MCC's eighth film and was posted after the 2012 "Avengers" events, where Thor (Chris Hemsworth) teamed up with other champions with power to fight someone else's invasion. The invasion was led by the treacherous brother of Thor Loki (Tom Hiddleston)And the "Avengers" ended up attracting Loki's fox in Asgard, their home dimension.

The next story of Thor, however, was only Superhero Hui. He returned to Asgard only on time for a cosmic convergence that allowed the magical interdimensional portals to be openly opened throughout the universe. Thor also witnessed a re -emerging mystical force called Etter that a dark elf named Malakit (Christopher Ecclestone) had ever happened. Convergence and ether are resurrected by Malakit, and he tries to look for his magical macgifin. He wants to throw the universe in the dark or something. Thor will have to spring Loki from prison to help him fight dark elves.

In addition to being quite generic, "Thor: The Dark World" also cannot boast of developing the character for Thor. Indeed, none of the characters undergo significant changes, no casualties are made and not realized. Loki seems to die at one point, suggesting a tantalizing drama where Thor can mourn his brother while hating his villain at the same time. Unfortunately, it is later revealed that Loki survived, stripping the stab of his death.

Critics were not interested in the "dark world", and the fans were disappointed. It seemed that Thor was the weak link in the "Avengers" universe. Even Chris Hemsworth was disappointed. Not only with the film, but with his performance. The actor talked to Vanity fair In 2022, he clearly admitted that he regretted not finding significant ways to expand his character for the sequel. That wouldn't happen to Thor: Ragnarok in 2017.

Thor seems like an awkward character to play because, well, he is a literal God. MCU tries to redefine Asgard's Norwegian gods as hyper-driven space aliens Look Like gods, but in fact, they are gods. And, because they are almost perfect creatures, they have little to learn. The only lesson Thor was supposed to learn was already absorbed in Kenneth Branag's 2011 "Thor". That film saw Thor as a little too military and prone to violence. He was exiled to the ground without superpowers, where he remained until he learned how to be calm and sacrificed for others.

However, after teaching that lesson, it seemed that Thor had nowhere to go. Hemsworth made his attention, but he was not satisfied with the result. According to his words:

"I was stoked with what i'd do in thor 2. Then what 'ragnarok' cam, out of my own frustration of what I have been, and this is not on any other director or anyone, this was my own perforance.

"Thor: Ragnarok" by Taika Waititi It was a more pleasant film, where Thor became less than the god of stability and more than blot Buffon. Hemsworth nailed to Thor as a character in comedy, and "Ragnarok" was a much better film as a result. The reason why Ragnarok was updating Thor's character was because Hemsworth directly asked him. By 2017, the year "Ragnarok" came out, Hemsworth played the role in four previous films. Thor has become ghosts. He was on the floor. He needed more. Hemsworth remembers the conversation he had with Taika Waititi about the character, and the actor and director seemed to be very on the same page. As Hemsworth said:

"And I said this to Taika and I think the conversation we had was, I said," I am really bored of Thor. " And he said, "Yes, I am really bored of Thor. ' And then we decided not to be bored and whenever that feeling, we would go in the other direction.

After that, Thor was a comic-relief character, an over-the-bl on who was not always aware of his immature suggestions. This is far from the noble God seen at the end of Tor's "Tor" in 2011, but it was a welcome change. Hemsworth again starred in two more films "Avengers", and in the 2022 Waitite edition "Thor: Loveubov and Thunder". However, that last entrance can take the character too far in the opposite direction. With "Loveubo and GROM", Thor was a direct clown, possessing the intelligence of the stone.
