We didn't do it for profit, but to become better, wiser, more appropriate and open.

But he was not so optimistic that we could naturally push ourselves in that direction, just because we liked the idea. No, we first had to get into a whisk for extinction. Born Boyer lived in a dark, hopeless time of violence. It seemed that it was unlikely that people on Earth would only wake up one morning and decide to lower their weapons and money. Something terrible had to happen to us first - something dark and destructive.

In the universe "Star Trek", Mankind deals with wars in eugenicsA conflict in which genetically altered, racially "pure" creatures become global dictators. This, on the last measure, occurred in the mid -21st century. Eugenics wars then tried to Third World War, with a destructive nuclear attack that deletes most of the planet. Humanity held it with a thread and survived in post-apocalyptic cities from the 2050s to the 2070s. The notions of genetic "purity" and violence have led us to the edge. Billions wounds die.

And that's where we could be in 2025-in a place where eugenics and violence are responsible. "Star Trek" does not remind us that the horrors will never persist, and the evil of the past will be lessons for us. It also reminds us, optimistic, we will learn, grow and reconstruct ... And in fact we will be better at the end of it.

Things are now bad, and they can get worse, but Star Trek promises us to surely renew them - not only that, but also the rebuilding of utopia. It is an important message for 2025.
