"Fantastic Four: First Steps" brings the silver surfer to the Marvel film universe for the first time. Galacus herald, The silver surfer is an iconic and complex character Who fans are looking forward to seeing Enter the McU for some time. With the Fantastic Four Film Right Rights returned to the Marvel Studios, and Surfer and Galacus can also become part of the continuity of the Marvel Studio's big screen.

"The first steps" were not the first time the silver surfer appeared in a movie, though. Galacutus and his Herald have also appeared in Fox's 2007 film Fantastic Four: Rise of Silver Surfer. And weird, there are a few Similarities between their roles in "Raising the Silver Surfer" and "The First Steps".

Both films make a key plot to highlight Johnoni Storm by making first contact with the silver surfer. Both also see that Susan Storm is dying, just to resurrect the character with the use of cosmic power. Both films end up with a silver surfer who risk their lives to betray and defeat galacutus. However, the "first steps" makes some major deviations, the most obvious of which is the use of a scarf, rather than Norin Rad, like a silver surfer. The film also dives deeper into the link between Nyoni Storm and Surfer, while drawing a stronger parallel between Shaal-Bal and a fantastic four.

Changes to Marvel Studio in Silver Surfer Stretch over the change from Norin Rad to Shala-Bal, though this change informs many of the more important elections "Fantastic Four: First Steps". With the introduction of a female silver surfer, the film was able to portray the character as a mother who became a galcolus herald to protect her child. This mirror the story of Susan Storm as she opposes galcolus in order to protect her newborn son, Franklin, whom Galaktus wants to claim as his deadly successor.

The 2007 "Silver Surfer" version saw the character in the end moved to betray Galakus, simply because Sue Storm reminded him of his beloved (unnamed in the film, but a shawl in the comic books). Although Sue asked him if he felt the guilty of the worlds, he helped destroy, "first steps" are doing a lot better job to make the silver surfer oppose her guilt, Johnoni Storm intercepts footage of the entire space of the dying screaming of other planets, forcing her.

This strict confrontation with the consequences of her actions is seen by the Shala-Bal backup Franklin, whom he is sent to catch galacutus. The discovery that she serves Galaktus just to protect her child also makes her betrayal of him far more important than Norin Rad in "raising the silver surfer". Shala-Bal is able to save Franklin from sharing her fate as a galacutus and saving Sue from losing her own child.
