Why did Brock Davies hide his affair from Schean Shay for so long?

Davies did not recognize the affair until two years later, and during Shay's podcast, he said it was because he "protected" Sam ".

Brock Davies said his childhood had a lot to do with anything that was cheated by Schean Shay

Davies later pointed out his childhood in an attempt to explain his actions, saying he attended 15 different schools, which claims him to turn him into "Egomanika".
"I'm easy to separate from a lot of my emotions, a minim a lot of my destructive qualities and ... my actions," he said.
"... I know what I did and I know what I could lose and it helps me focus on my family more," he said, adding, "at the end of the day, what I did doesn't define."
Davies also expressed support for Shay who shares the truth about their relationship in his memoir, saying that he had "every right" to reveal what he wants.
"I'm proud of you for telling your story and I'm sorry I was part of your story," Davies told her.

Shayine friends are open about Davie's cheating

Shortly after the news about the Davie's affair it became public, several bravo star gathered around Shay to offer support.
"I hate going everywhere," Brittany Cartwright said in a previous interview. "I only learned about it a month ago or before. Even her friends didn't know about it."
"I know that if Schean and Brock decided to get through, then no one should judge them for that," she led it later.
Shay has support from her inner circle

Lala Kent, in the meantime, said Shay's controlled "nicely written" before dividing his thoughts on Shaya's decision to stay with Davies after the affair.
