The Apple TV+Foundation, with its epic, millennia range and visual blockbuster films, is one of the best TV scientific shows. It is an adaptation that brings an incredibly large book to life, and while it has made many changes in the road (including Significant change in the mule of Pile Asbak this season), it's all in the service of the show that it knows when to prioritize the spectacle for the general audience and when to connect to the original material.

We have seen that this last part is being played in the premiere of Season 3, when Demerzel (Laura Byrne) explained the history of robots in the Foundation Universe and How did wars in robots start. This was a brilliant work of adaptation that was linked to books, while still surprising the audience reading the work of Isaac Asimov.

Indeed, for the most part, this show has taken a little remix access to adaptation. It pulls out of the books, but completely reorganizes the plot and characters, rearranging and revealing details of the story at different moments of the original material to create its own unique identity that still arrives in the same place as Asimov. A big deviation from the books that gave the "Foundation" a different way to approach the story is the character of Harry Seldon. Unlike the books, where Harry dies extremely early in the story and only makes performances through pre -recorded messages, the portrayal of Aredari Harris of the psychochistoric was a big part of every season so far.

Until now. In the second episode of the "Foundation" Season 3, Harry Seldon dies, for the real time (the non -vault version of the vault). According to Aredard Harris, Seldon's goodbye would initially be a surprise, but he specifically demanded that the script be changed to avoid repetition.

"In the Original Scripts, Gaal Woke up and Saw that Hari's Cryotube was Empty and All Covered with Vines, and (She) Rushes to Find Him and Discovers He's 110 Years Old or Something," The Actor Told /Film During A Press Actor Event ahead of the release of Season 3. As Harris said, Ignis mentions tried to kill Harry for most of last season, and they clearly see Gaal (Lou Lobel) as their leader, waking up the first every year. So why would you listen to Harry and allow him to wake up first without consulting a gal? It makes no sense.

"They wouldn't do it unless they told them to do it, because it is their leader," Harris added. "I was less interested in doing this job once again, that he did not share this information with Gaal. That they both realize that they have a problem, that they do not have enough time, and that one of them will have to stay behind and take them there, and that he should be because it is more valuable. It will be more interesting."

As Harris explained, each season, writers hand over the actors' scripts and invite them to sit down and share their thoughts, which led Harris to propose this change in the Seldon victim, which ended up on the show. As it stands, by making Harry Seldon make the sacrifice than to make another surprise death (as happened in season 1 and season 2) is a better idea and signals a major change in the series.

"Gaal's conductor is teaching and that her story is probably now," Harris said. "She's the main character in the story, she's a hero of the story." Now, Gaal is no longer defined by her relationship with Salvo or Harry, but is free to become the right leader of the second foundation as they face their biggest threat ever in mule.

The Foundation is now being transferred to Apple TV+.
