The Creek actor lost a role in Christopher Nolan's odyssey

Although every male actor in the world seems to be thrown into Christopher Nolan's upcoming film "Odyssey", it turns out that some of them missed the intersection. Such was the case with Skete Ulrich, the actor best known for playing The most interesting spirit in the franchise "Crick". Ulrich revealed in a recent panel that he was on a narrower list of an undisclosed role, and that was between him and two other actors. He had high hopes for the film, but he learned the night before the panel that he was not chosen.

"It is almost a weekly experience to put yourself there for things and hope and get in the material in the material, and then continue to move on," Ulrich told the film. "There are big wins, so it makes it tasty, but it's a lot of rejection."

It seems difficult to believe that the actor who was so big in the 1990s, these days there are trouble landing, but being loved by "Crick" fans does not translate long-term success in Hollywood. But although Ulrich is struggling to make peace with routine Hollywood rejection, he still assured the panel audience that it all was worth it. As he explained:

"When you do what you want, what I think is one of the most important things you can do in this world - how many of you are artists, actors and singers and writers and painters? Yes, it's not an easy life, but you do what you want. So, when you get those moments you get to do it.

Who would play Ulrich in Odyssey?

Ulrich did not reveal what role she had audited, which is unfortunate because I would like to know it for one. Would you act as one of the gods, or would it be an ordinary mortal? We already know who will play the main roles - Matt Damon like Odysseus, Tom Holland as Thelemahus, Ann Hathaway as Penelope - But Odyssey has a huge role in crazy characters, some of which stand for one scene and then disappear. Opportunities for Ulrich are endless.

Since my main experience with Ulrich is his role as Billy LomisThe role for him here that comes to my mind is someone like Antinus, one of the devils who does not hit Penelope, despite not being clear. There are many restless suitors in Odyssey, they all serve to get the reader to take care of Odysseus more to return home. Antius is the cruelest and most dangerous for them, and it is easy to see that Ulrich makes this kind of threat to justice. Some might say that Ulrich is too old to play a suitor, given that their arrogance codes them as young people in the original material, but Ulrich's antinus is older than others would help distinguish it as the worst of them. Antinosis is someone who needs to know better than to behave, and an older actor who played it can really highlight that point.

But maybe Ulrich is no longer interested in the kind of bad boys roles he is best known for playing. In that case, he could aim to role as Poseidon, the god of the sea, who avenges Odysseus by delaying his return home for literal years. Or maybe Ulrich could play someone like Zeus, who is not out of Odysseus, but who still intervenes in his journey from time to time. Honestly, the possibilities are endless; I'm sure Christopher Nolan had good reasons to go with another actor, but it's a shame that we'll never see what Ulrich would bring to the film.
