A dangerous game is to try and mix things with a franchise, even more so, when you dare to turn the universe on a large screen in a television show. This is the problem of Johnon Wick's property, when someone got a bright idea to give us "Continental", a series of prophecies that explained as Winston (played by Ian Mac Jane as an older man in the films "Johnon Wick", came in ownership of the titar. Hit-Peo, somewhere in the murder of someone who kills him, but while "Continental" was based on an interesting idea, his execution was nothing but successful, with the show earning a pretty rude response from critics.
/Own Film of the Movie Ereeremi Matai called "Continental" "Lifeless, joyful and ultimately a meaningless return to the style of wick" in his review, and while the series may earn a service 63% of rotten tomatoesIt is not considered one of the most popular installments in the Johnon Wick Universe. This is said, even the spin-off movie "Anna de Armas", "Ballerina" There are 76%Although with a Disappointing opening of box officeWhat can put future stories that do not include Baba Yaga directly in danger. So what was it that the "continental" was wrong (unlike the "ballerina", which managed to get at least a few steps)? Well, one of the founding fathers of this franchise - what, remember, started with a car and dog - there was a few words to say about it, like the original Winston itself.
Neither Smok Staheleski or Ian Mac Jane could praise the continental
While promoting "Ballerina," Chad Stahelski (The Director of the First Four "John Wick" Films) Weight in the Misfire of "The Continental" and Suggested Eponymous establishment (as opposed to the folks responsible for making Some of the best action movies ever). Talking to Hollywood reporterTheorized Stali:
"A group of individuals thought they had a magical sauce. But if you extract the intuitive of Basil Ivanjak, if you take out (Keanu Reeves') a way of delivering unusual dialogue, and if you take out all the same thing."
Mac Jane also had several election words for the "continental", he said he had no intention of giving him any engagement. "It had nothing to do with our films. It's just a matter of a TV company that deals with the series and used the option (air?)," He said. MovieWeb. "They never asked us about anything, so why would he be interested in seeing that? I'm afraid their arrogance in the draw is out of me, so I wish them good." As it stands, the next on the Hit list of the spin-off "Johnon Wick" is The Kane's film on Donny Chenfor which he is also rumored to be directing him. Hopefully, he will have a better blow in the expansion of the "wick" universe and we can all forget about the bad stay we had in the legendary Hitman's Hotel by choice.
