After nearly two decades, director Dani Boyle and writer Alex Garland in the latest reunification for the long -awaited "28 years later". That means many fans of horror have finally got their desire to see a sequel to "28 days later" and "28 weeks later", with even more on the road. Indeed, "28 years later" is, but the first entrance to the planned new trilogy That will eventually return Jimim to Silian Murphy of "28 days later", with the second film already shot. Last year, Sony's Tom Rothman has confirmed that Murphy will return "But in a surprise way and in the way it grows." What he did not clarify, however, is that we will not see until the end of the second film, directed by Nia Dacosta ("Candiman") and entitled "28 Years Later: Bone Temple". Here's what Boyle had to say about this issue:

"I have seen a rough cut of Nia Dacosta's film," Bone Temple ", and it has been nicely introduced at the end of that film. And it obviously leads you, the way you probably realize that Jimi will be a huge part of the second film, introduced in the first film's coda. Cilian will also be a huge part of the third film. "

In other words, Jimim seems to not appear completely by the end of the "bone temple", which is scheduled to reach the theaters in January 2026. As for this writing, however, there is no guarantee that we will see that third film that Boyle is talking about.

While Sony has made many resources to Boyle and Garland for this new trilogy, he has not confirmed the funding for the third installment in advance. It all depends on how they make these first two films. So if the "bone temple" is not a big enough hit, we may not see much of Jimim and it sounds like we stay with something from Clifancher. As Boyle pointed, "28 years later" has a pretty bizarre end that has re -introduced us to Myimiwhom we see at the very beginning of the film. It sounds like Jimim's return will also be a sign of punctuation in the second installment.

It is also worth remembering that Murphy's Jimim did not appear in "28 weeks later". In fact, from now on, it is not entirely clear how he will get into the rest of the story based on what is happening in "28 years later". However, it is clear that Boyle and Garland map it. It's just a question of whether Sony will give them the funding they need to make a third "28 years later".

The good news is that "28 years later" has been greeted with many solid reviews from critics. More importantly, as it refers to the third film getting the green light, There was also a very strong debut in the box office. If that continues, then there is a high probability of making that third film. Here we hope that it does-because Murphy's long-awaited return, while Jimim has spun before us for two whole films, without getting his true story, it would be quite frustrating.
