This article contains spoilers for "separation".
In the last moments of Northernas Season 2, Ini Mark (Adam Scott) helps deliver his Opa's wife, Gema (Dichen Lahman), from Lumon's claws, just to turn and stay on the cut under Inni Helly (Brit Dol). It's stunning - but not totally unexpected - turning events leaves things wide open for season 3 and beyond. But while Showerer Dan Erikson knows how things will eventually get done (And executive producer/director Ben Stiller liked the planned end of the getting), there is no knowledge of where things are going next to the rest of us now that the tension has dropped between the two brands.
If Mark Ini and that they have already fought to hear, there is a third person who has even less word in the story: Scott himself. Fortunately, in an interview with Fun weeklyVeteran Parks and REK has finally got a chance to use his image on the screen, and here's what he had to say:
"I mean, for Ini Mark, it is unsuccessful, right? But hard-to-e-in fact, it's not, because I think emotionally it is unwise, but logic, they have passed logically what is in front of them and decided:" You have to go, "but their hearts told them something else."
Scott has "very mixed feelings" for the finale of Season 2
The fight between cold, hard logic and visceral emotional reactions is the perfect way to summarize what we have seen in those last moments. Remember, earlier in the episode, Mark Ini and drafted each other through a camera in the birth cabin about what was supposed to happen. Because Mark was tactful because he resorted to his poor authority as the one who was technically competent on paper. As a result, Ini Mark fought with the despair that someone would have when they realize that their actions would break their world, their friends and their own existence. In the end, the fact that Gemema was in the immediate danger temporarily got them on the same page, but things broke up when faced Mark's Inns with his immediate and inexorable fate. As Scott pointed out (in painful details):
"And I think for Ini Mark and Heley, it's one thing, but then looking at it, I feel terrible for gem. Obviously, it's heart. And for Oiyi Mark, they were finally right there, and they got out of them. So, I don't know, I have a lot of mixed feelings, because I think, because I think, because I think, because I think, On that, because I think about it, because I think about it, because I think I am approaching the same part of the body.
Things have come to the head, and no doubt, the consequences will be the focus of the third season of the Apple TV+hit show.
So what can we expect in season 3 season?
As for the next, one thing is for sure: a tonal shift is fine. The cold, calculated approach to the season "season" was already decaying as season 2 progressed, so you can probably expect much more emotions to advance forward. In a separate interview, Stiller touched the last blow of season 2In which Helly and Mark round another sterilized, blend Lumon corridor, this time with a red alert Svona shining over them. According to Stiller, this was very intentional:
"It's something we haven't seen before. The colors were pretty specific in the show. It's an indication that we're going elsewhere. With red, heart and LOVEUBOOK. Things are changing. It's a different tone."
Among the creatives of the show who have a specific vision of the end of the series (the one that seems to be mostly intact) and Stiller's warning of a tonal shift, it is the assumption of someone where this job will do. The only thing we know for sure is that many people will adapt Whenever Season 3 finally falls.
SEVERANCE 1 seasons and 2 are now moving to Apple TV+.
