Will there be a new character?

Duffer Brothers explained that the final season would probably not be much new to Hawkins.

"We are doing the best to resist (new character) for the 5 season," said Matt Indiwiere In August 2022. "We're trying not to do it so we can concentrate on OG characters, my idea."

Ross added for its part: "Whenever we introduce a new character, we want to make sure they are going to be an integral part of the narrative. We've got a great cast of characters here, and at any moment we spend on a new character we are taking time from one of the other actors."
