In the episode "Star Trek: Discovery" "Choose Your Pain" (October 15, 2017), Captain Lorca (Asoneyson Isax) and Ash Tyler (Shaddo Latif) are captured by Klingons in inter-ship frames and closed to Clingon. Coincidentally, they are thrown into the housing of cells Famous villain "Star Trek" Harcurt Fenton Mood (Rainn Wilson), a notorious man. Mood explains that his only crime was "very much Lubov" and that he is involved with Starflit officers for "no fun". Lorca and Tyler hate him right away. The original version of Harry Mood is also hateful of trays.

Prisoners do not have food and are beginning to get hungry. However, Harry Mood already has an assistant who secretly brings food bites here and there: Stewart. Stuart is an insect of palm -sized, seemingly to the intelligence of a dog, arguing on Harry's shoulder. Stuart is able to crawl through a hole in the Wallid, look for crackers and return them to Harry. Stuart's brief closeness reveals a cute small smiley face.
Treates could assume that Stewart was named Patrick Stewart, the longtime actor "Star Trek" playing Captain Jeanan-Luk Picard of "Star Trek: Next Generation". "Choose your pain" was broadcast before the Star Trek: Picard debut, so the reference would be cute in 2017, not direct cross -promotion. As it happens, however, Stewart did not get the name by Patrick Stewart, but Stuart Bloom, the character played by Kevin Susman on the hit "Nerd" Sitkom "Big Bang Theory". This was confirmed by writers/producers Grecen J. Berg and Aaron Harberts on the post-Discovery show after Treks, which initially aired the same day. Berg and Harberts seemed to be fans of Big Bang's theory and wanted to fall.

Stewart was also a change from the original scenario. And, in the heads of writers, improvement.
Stuart bug got its name after Stuart Bloom of Big Bang theory
In the original script, Stewart was, perhaps unbreakable, called Bugsi. The writers liked Stewart better because it was funny. Rainn Wilson is perhaps best known for its comic performances, so it was a kind of writers to give him better material.

Stewart appeared in his second and last episode two weeks later, in "Magic to make the most sacred man crazy" (October 29, 2017). In that episode, Mood proved his devil by temporarily taking over the discovery of USS. He treated everyone badly and admitted that he wanted to fever. In that episode, Stewart helped Mood escape prison, but then walked into the desert, fulfilling his minor convertible needs.
Stuart Bloom of "Big Bang Theory" is, of course, one of the semi -shows of the show and the owner of the comic book center, the Pasadena, California Center. He used tips for liaison with other Nerd characters in the show, before finally finding his own girlfriend in the form of Dennis (Lauren Lapkus), an Alt-Coxic artist. Susman was not credited as the main part of the cast until the sixth season. He is also subject to the upcoming Spinoff "Theory of Big Bag" Called "Stewart fails to save the universe." The writers of "Star Trek: Discovery" do not say why they liked Stewart especially, except to say they liked their name and thought they had training training on the show with that name was funny.

Stewart did not return for any of the successive performances "Star Trek", which can be a good thing. I would hate to think that a little bug has interrupted his little convertible life from the concerns of some boring old humanoids.
