Seeing an episode of the hit Max Medical Drama "Pete" can feel as intense as in the thickness of it in a real emergency room and this is no accident. Created by former producer Air R. Scott Gemil, the series is close to "Real Time" as he gets, with each episode after the next hour at the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center during a wild shift. In an interview with NPRStarvala Noah Will, who shows the older doctor who attended the doctor Dr. Michael "Robbie" Robbavich, shared a slightly more background for the training that everyone went through to make Pete feel real and revealed that they had a particularly secret weapon in the form of one of their technical advisers.

In the interview, Will explained that the team all went through two weeks of "Raising Medical Camp" to learn the basics of emergency medicine and that he was specially detached from doctors and students at a lower level for things like lunch, where everyone was grouped according to their "rank" in the hospital. This helped to recreate part of the structure of the real hospital team, but really a special thing, Will said, was one of their technical advisers:

There are several people who worked on ER, also working on Pete (and No, it's not spin-off), but it sounds like Sachs was really vital to help both shows to feel really authentic. Other small rules, like Prohibition of mobile phones from set To keep everyone at the moment, make Pete feel more like a real hospital than any other show on television. Honestly, season 2 can't get here fast enough - we need more "pit", statistics!
