"Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" had only eight central members of the cast listed as its regular in the initial loans, but by the end of her seventh and last season, there was no less than 30 members in the ensemble. As with the Simpsons, all the Deep Space Nine supporters spread as the series continued, many of them getting their own stories. Actors like Andrew R. Robinson, Penny Nsonson Ericerald, Mark Alaimo, Max Gradencik, Aaron Eisenberg, Louis Fletcher and Effeefri Combs may only have technically playing recurrent characters, but they were just as important for the "deep nine".

Case in point: Chase Masterson played a character named FlyA woman from Bayran who worked in a quark bar. Fly was a girl's girlfriend, engaged to rotate a wheel from Roulette Ferenga and look beautiful. She was first presented in the third seasonal episode "Researchers" (8.05.1995), flirting with the handsome young Dr. Bashir (Alexander Sidig). She and Dr. Bashir will be dated briefly, before throwing him in favor of the seemingly semi-spent Ferengi Roma (grator). By the end of the series, Roma will prove that he actually has a lot of business activities, and he would marry. Overall, flying appeared only at the 16 episodes of "Deep Space Nine", but she left an impression, becoming a significant part of the Star Trek Oreven.

Masterson wanted this for Leeta. Not that she was part of the track, but that she appeared only in 16 episodes. Being the main character of "Deep Space Nine", the actress feels, will endanger her entire work schedule. As an accompanying toy, she was allowed to play other types of roles on the road and expand her craft. She talked about her concurrent roles that are not in duration Interview for 2011 with Startrek.comAnd how happy she could get out of the set "Star Trek" when it was needed.
Masterson's Chase liked the freedom to be a support player
Masterson said in an interview that one of the reasons Ange is bothered to be a Deep Space Nine toy because writing was so good. As stated, all the so -called small characters eventually grew into much larger figures of the series, even if they had a less overall screen of the eight principles (nine, after Michael Dorn joined the cast to repeat the role of Warf). As he said:

"" DS9 "was so well written that there was really no problem with the main characters without much to do; Indeed, one of the advantages of the show was that our writers created an entire world where the audience met individuals who were not always in the spotlight, just as you would like to live in that world. They were completely separated from the fact that I was one of those individuals, I always respected it for the show.
Indeed, Leeta had a whole bow. She did not only have separate romantic partners, as we mentioned, but also became a good friend of Dax (Terry Farrell) and became one of the most prominent advocates for unionization at her job. Masterson started as a character in the background that flirted with D -Bashir, but quickly became rich, interesting and tinted.

However, more importantly, Masterson had to work on her career and was able to take a wide range of jobs. "Deep Space Nine" aired from 1993 to 1999, and that was a very commitment from its eight main actors (though Colm Minsus, many, many, many, and Farrell came out in the show in the last season). Masterson was called only once in a while, allowing Her to get involved in other programs.
Chase Masterson was on every show
Masterson continued:
"There were other reasons to be a repetitive character, instead of a regular series, I worked well for me. I got a lot of experience playing a wide range of different roles on other shows during the running of" DS9 "that I wouldn't have if I were a regular series, including: Mother regretted the EMI-GOVERNMENT episode. "Seacrest," Guest Starwright on "Sliders", "Show: Night Time", which I did for a year of Showtime, (s) "Sci-Fi fun", which I was hosting the Sci-Fi channel ".

Masterson, as you can see, occupied. Indeed, the above interview has been only since 2011, and she continued to work, both hosting genres TV -emissions and acting in other important projects. Indeed, she returned to Star Trek in 2023 to play Leeta again in Episode of "Star Trek: Lower decks". At the time, she was happy to announce that she was starring in a movie she called "frozen", but who was actually the TV movie "Sometimes they are coming back ... for more".
She added that "being a regular series would have been nice, of course, but I enjoyed the versatility of the other thing I was free to do during those years." Masterson is, from this writing, to appear in an indi-scientific comedy called "Je Suis Auto" and two more genres of the genre called "Tempest: Angel's Grate" and "Inspector Chronicles". At the age of 62, she did not stop. Neither should she. Masterson is deeply loved by the scientific community.
