Can the show finally solve the decade -old old (or from the point of view of the doctor, old millennia) of Tardis's targeting to his destination for good, yet?

Almost certainly, the answer is solid no. Let's face, the show will probably never use this job after this season, simply because it will rob the show on an attractive attractive trip through time - not to mention that it would be a repeat of the touch to use the vindle instead of watching the doctor fail through time and space. However, it is fascinating that at least on paper, the doctor finally has an appropriate "GPS system" in his tool kit.
