Both former football stars died in 2025 at collegiate and NFL level

Football fans were stunned to learn Former death Louisiana State University Wide Receiver LaceyWho expected the draft in the NFL on April 7, 2021.

Lacey's family confirmed his death on the local news station WFB-TV at the time. The LSU Athletic Department also confirmed his death, which was reported to have happened in Houston, Texas. He was 24 years old. Lacey announced for the LSU and 2025 NFL draft at LSU last year at LSU - he was considered as the number 6 wide receiver in the 2025 grade in December.
